Mistaken Identity

Part 11

Emi's POV

I couldn't help but smile as Crow walked me home from the beach.  "Your friend Suzuha is pretty crazy," he laughed. "But the edits in my bike increased the speed by 3%. If she needs a job after graduating I'm sure the prince would be happy to give her one."

I nodded in agreement. One of Suzuha's ambitions was to move to the Syncro Kingdom to became a famous engineer. "Well, I'm sure she'll appreciate the offer," he said. "Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks,"

"Thanks?" He cocked a brow.

"For being honest with me about the whole following thing," I giggled. "Just to ask, have you been following Yuya around too?"  Crow nodded a slight blush on his face. "You know about Yuto then huh?"

"Yeah," he blushed. "I promise that I won't tell anyone about it."

"Good," I smirked. "As the older protective sister it's my duty to keep them safe!"

He couldn't help but laugh and I never noticed we ended up back to the house and I noticed mom's car was missing. I could see that the light was on fortunately so Yuya must have seen her off. "Anyway," Crow began and then handed me a card. "Like I said, I'm under strict instructions to keep you and Yuya safe, so call me if trouble starts and me and my buddies will come help you."

I bowed as Crow took off. He seemed a nice guy, and honestly I'ce never met anyone from Syncro before. I still need to practice my technique too so I can finally include the Syncro monster I got the a while back. I walked into the  house to find Yuya didn't waste time setting up his gaming console in the living room. I leant down and sneakingly kissed the top of his head. "How was your date with Yuto?" I asked walking into the kitchen.

"It was the best," I heard him cheer as I continued to look for the usual money mom would leave us. "He took me to this awesome ice cream parlour and sis it was huge. He managed to get  us a private booth near the back so no one bugged us."

I smiled. It was be a lie if I said I wasn't jealous. I love my brother but he has a more active love life then I do. The way he talks about Yuto hurts a little. Since dad left I've tried my hardest to always be there for him and protect him but now I feel the grip on our relationship is loosening.

"Son of a," I heard someone curse outside. Damnit! An intruder! I grabbed the nearest pan and head outside with caution. The guy in a black hood heLd his hands out, "Please don't hit me!" He begged.

"10 seconds to tell me who you are," I growled gripping tighter on the pan. I growled again as I heard Yuya run into the back garden. "Stay back Yuya."

"Wait no," he argued grabbing me. "He's a friend of Yuto's."

I dropped the pan to my side, looking at Yuya before turning back to the intruder. The guy bowed and introduced himself, "Ryo Truesdale of the Cyber Dojo. Please to meet you."

I mouth hung open as he removed his hood. His hair was a dark blue and his eyes a lovely teal. This guy is cute. I cautiously grabbed his hand. I smirked as I gripped it tightly making him flinch. "Any reason why you were sneaking around?" I asked.

He seemed a bit nervous as I asked the question but then reached into his pocket, by passing me and handing Yuya a letter. "The young prince asked me to give this Yuya," he whispered. Yuya blushed as he took the letter. "I'm sorry for being sneaky about it."

I crossed my arms and raised a brow. "Next time use the front door," I groaned turning back to the kitchen. "It's late, so leave me and my brother alone."

I grabbed Yuya's hand pulling him back into the kitchen and shutting the door behind us. When I next looked out Ryo was gone. "Yuya," I said sternly turning and getting his attention. "If you meet anyone else like that again tell me."

I let my face soften and I hugged him. "Sorry sis," he mumbled, holding me back. "Guess I got too caught up with Yuto."

"It's okay," I said patting his head. "Go take a bath okay, I'll order some dinner."

Yuya nodded and ran upstairs. I sighed pulling out my phone and the card Crow gave me perhaps he knows this Ryo guy.

I stretched, reaching high as I climbed out the bath. That felt good. I grabbed the towel wrapping it around me. After my conversation with Crow I'm more confused then ever, turns out Ryo  is a third generation Member of the Cyber Dojo in the fusion kingdom. However the Dojo was attacked and Ryo saw refugee in the XYZ kingdom. His predecessor was non other then Zane Truesdale who personally passed the Cyber deck down to him. It's a sad story really. I remember hearing about Dojo in fusion being attacked but didn't think it was true. I made my way back into my room, I cocked a brow noticing the door slightly open and a light coming from it. I walked in and the light dimmed down, I could see Yuya hovering over my deck. "Yuya?" I questioned and he snapped out of whatever trance he was in. "You okay kiddo?"

He nodded and yawned. He mumbled a small 'Goodnight' before leaving for his own room. Curious I turned over the first few cards of my deck. My eyes widening. I've never  had pendulum cards in my deck before. Did Yuya do this? Wait. I covered my mouth to hide a small cry, it hit me. The reason Yuya is being watched, is because of his pendulum technique. I felt tears run down my cheeks. I always knew Yuya was special but I never thought it would put him in danger. My little brother. I can't no I won't let him get hurt!
