19. mistake

I was at the beach with Shawn. It was a nice sunny day. We had other friends there to and we played some volleyball and went for a swim. I was with my best friend for most of it and we both sunbathed for a while until Shawn and Brian begged me to go swimming with them.

We had fun and it was getting time for the sun to set but that didn't stop me and Shawn from staying out longer and messing around.
"Shawn can you help please?" You ask innocently by the sea.
"Yeah what's wrong?" He asks while walking over to me still with his shirt off. He was so handsome and his six pack was amazing he had really great muscles.
"Well Y/N what do you need help with?"
I smile cheekily at him and then splash him with water.

"Oh Y/N you don't know what you have gotten yourself into hun."

I knew then it was time to run. I was ahead of him for a couple of minutes until I started to get out of breath, giving him the advantage to catch up with me.

He caught up and came behind me grabbing me and throwing me over his shoulder. We both start laughing.

He puts me down but has his hands still around my waist. We were looking into each others eyes. His eyes were so beautiful. Those hazel-nut brown eyes were staring into mine and this moment for me never felt so perfect.

I saw him tilt his head towards the side a little bit and leaning in towards me so I took the opportunity and I kissed him. His lips were so soft and gentle. The kiss was soft and nothing like I have been kissed before, this one actually meant something to me. I pulled away realising what I was doing.

"Um Shawn I'm so sorry I don't know what I was thinking it was a mistake."

"Y/N don't worry about it."

"No I shouldn't have done it in gonna go now."

"No don't go."

"Sorry." I say then run off down the beach towards my house.

"Y/N come back......please come back." I heard Shawn beg. I ignored him and carried on running till I got home.

I got into some comfortable pyjamas.

Also put my hair up into a messy bun.

I started to watch tv alone because I only lived with my mum because my dad passed away when I was little and right now my mum is at work.

An hour later......

I can hear the thunder and rain from inside it sounds pretty bad outside. I hear someone knock on the front door. Who would be out in this weather? It can't be my mum because she would have her keys and she's still in work.

I get up to open the door. I open the door to see a fully drenched Shawn at the door. He looks at me and I look at him. He has rain dripping from his hair onto his face. He steps forward grabs my face and kisses me. It was a passionate kiss yet soft at the same time. He puts his arms around my waist while kissing me. I put my arms around his neck playing with the hairs right on the back of his neck.

A/N points to anyone who knows which tv show this kiss happens in.

We both pull away.

"Shawn why did you kiss me?"

"I kissed you because... because."

"Are you going to say it?"

"I kissed you Y/N because I love you."

"You what?"

"I love you. When you ran off because you kissed me and said it was a mistake, that hurt me and when you ran off I tried to go after you because I wanted to tell you that I love you."

"Shawn I love you too."

"You do?"

"Yeah. I mean you walked all the way here in a storm just to tell me. I mean no one has ever done that for me before."

He pulls me back to him and leans down to kiss me again. I kiss him back instantly. I honestly don't care that he is soaking wet right now. This just feels right. I pull back.

"So Y/N would you do me the honour of being my girlfriend?"

"I would too. Do you want to come in and get dry before you get sick."

"Yeah if you don't mind?"

"I don't. After all I was the one who asked you to come inside."

"Yeah you did." We both chuckle.

God I love him.
