Me and Shawn are going away for Valentine's day in Ottawa. Aaliyah is watching our daughter. So the focus of the trip can just be me and him.
On the drive there me and Shawn are singing along to all of his songs. Our hands are intertwined together the whole journey.
We were excited because this is the first time we have been alone properly together since our daughter being born.
It was also our first Valentine's day together as a married couple. We get to the hotel and get into our room. We check out the bedroom and put our luggage down.
Shawn jumps onto the bed. As I'm about to leave Shawn grabs my arm and pulls me onto the bed and into his arms. We stay in that embrace for a little while.
We get up and check out the rest of the room and we notice we have a pool. Shawn decides we are going to swimming. We both get changed and Shawn brings out two glasses and a bottle of champagne that the hotel had put there for us.
We get into the pool and Shawn gives me a glass. He pulls me into his chest and kisses me.
"I love you baby girl."
"I love you too Shawn."
We kiss again. We spent the next hour swimming, kissing and drinking champagne and just living in the moment.
We decide we need to shower before we order some food. (Not in that way get your head out of the gutter haha).
We get in and Shawn washes my hair for me and I wash his.
After we are all done I put my hair up into a messy bun and put some comfy clothes on.
I walk out of the bathroom into the bedroom and see Shawn putting his shirt on.
Damn he's hot and he's all mine.
We order some pizza and sit in bed together watching Harry potter.

"I love you Shawn." I say looking up at him.
"I love you too sasayna."
We cuddle together until I slowly drift off asleep. I was in Shawn's arms and I felt safe. I fell asleep with a smile on my face that night. We needed this I missed having alone time.
