161. aaliyah's tutor

So I help aaliyah Mendes with maths and English. She is truly an amazing kid. She doesn't really need me but her parents and herself want me to give her that extra push so she can go even further. I love helping her tho because she understands English in teh exact way I do so we can have very well heated discussions on English topics.

I'm over at her house and we are working on English when this tall brunette muscular built guy walks in. Aaliyah runs right over to him yelling shawn and hugs him. He hugs back straight away picks her up and spins her around.

"Hey kiddo I've missed you."

"I've missed you too shawn even though you are a really annoying brother."

"I'm feeling the love aaliyah." He says chuckling.

He looks up at the same time I do and our eyes connect.

His eyes still staring into mine he asks aaliyah.

"Hey liyah who is this?"

"This is teh tutor that mum told you about the one that helps me. This is Y/N she is 19 and single."

"Liyah!" I say chuckling breaking the eye contact.

"What I saw you both looking at each other. Also Y/N this is shawn my older brother 20 and single."

That makes me laugh again. We both look at each other again and he winks at me. I look away slightly blushing.

"Right liyah we have work to do."

Shawn leaves us and we do work. While working I get asked of I want to stay over for dinner and aaliyah practically begs me to stay for dinner so I do although I have a feeling shes doing this because while doing our work she told me that me and shawn would be perfect for each other. She has a plan and I'm slightly scared if I'm being honest. I pack up the work we were doing and shawn walks in.

"Hey." He says.

"Oh hi."

"So liyah persuaded you to stay for dinner then."

"Well I wouldn't say persuaded more like begged and I just gave in."

"Right she does that you will get used to it."

We both laugh.

"So Y/N I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out sometime ya know because I'll be around more and in guessing you will to so we could go out and get to know each other a little better. But only if you wanted to, you dont have to it wa just an idea."

I chuckled at how nervous he was.

"I think that sounds perfect."

"Great well let me know when you are free and I'll sort something out for us."

"Sounds great shawn I'm free anytime."

"So how about tomorrow night then?"

"Yeah sounds good."

"Yes!" Me and shawn both hear being yelled.

We both turn to see aaliyah and we both laugh.

"What before you guys even met I knew you would get together I've just been patiently waiting and now its happening I'm excited I want a sister."

"Liyah slow down there this is just our first date."

"Its a date?" I ask.

"Well I was kind of hoping it was."

"Then it's a date."

He just smiles at me and aaliyah claps giddily. Making me laugh again.

Aaliyah was right though, years later I did become her sister and she was over the moon. Aaliyah Mendes is quite the matchmaker.
