A few days later. Home. Morning. 

I walked into the kitchen and saw the whole fam sitting at the breakfast table. 

I asked confused "i don't like this silence"

Bart walked up behind me "good morning"

I looked at him unimpressed "Bart, you're back early. "

Bart "My last round of meetings wrapped up sooner than expected. Rushing home to the family"

I fake pouted "how romantic you are"

Bart sat down next to mom "didn't Lily tell you? i'm here for the long haul. "

I sat down next to Chuck. Serena was sitting across from me. 

Mom "And just in time for our housewarming party tomorrow night. "

Eric "I've been meaning to ask you, uh, can we bring friends? "

Mom nodded  "of course, dear."

Then she looked at me "oh, um, did you get the little dress that i laid out for you, Flavia?"

I raised an eyebrow "that was for me? i thought the housekeepers got new uniforms. "

Mom chuckled "yeah, it's conservative, yes, but classic. Bart brought it from Paris. It had its own seat in his plane, right next to Serena's"

I looked at Bart fake happily "oh really?"

Serena and i weren't really talking to each other and somehow does it entertain Chuck. 

Eric showed me his watch "new watch"

I nodded fake impressed. 

Chuck "Cash-direct deposit into one of my offshore accounts. "

I rolled my eyes. 

Me "wow, money can buy family love"

Lily cleared her throat while giving me a look. 

Bart "now that we are all here, Lily and i have something we want to discuss. As tomorrow's party marks our debut at a family, we've been talking about what that actually means"

Chuck "Less money for me when you die?"

I kicked his leg under the table and he sucked in a breath.

He smiled at me through his teeth.

Bart "We were thinking more along the lines of some guidelines. "

Serena raised an eyebrow  "guidelines? for what??"

Mom "For a life together. I mean, now that we're all here, having some rules would be nice. "

Me "rules like what?"

Mom "like every friday, we dine as a family"

Eric "don't you think monday would be -"

Bart "a weekend curfew of 1:00 a.m. "

Chuck "is that eastern or pacific?"

I scoffed "It's stupid"

Mom shot me a glare. 

Bart "and no going out on school nights"

Eric asked shocked "what?"

Serena asked irritated "are you serious?"

Bart nodded "all right, all right"

Serena looked at Mom "mom, where's this coming from?"

Mom "Bart and me. We made the decision together we are in complete agreement on this matter. "
