At my apartment.

Serena and i walked over to mom who was sitting there with a guy going through some papers.

I asked worried "Mom, what is it? you keep calling me. is everything okay?"

Mom "if you'll excuse us just a moment"

She walked to us.

Mom "i know all about Gabriel's scheme. And frankly, i'm disappointed that you did not come to me"

I shot Serena an annoyed look "lover boy?"

Serena asked mom "Dan?"

Mom nodded.

Serena sighed "I'm sorry, mom, i was going to tell but then..i can't believe he told you"

Me "neither can i"

mom "he obviously see the situation and my role in it much more clearly than you do"

Serena "Well, it is a mess but it's my mees, and i'm gonna fix it"

Mom shook her head "you will do no such thing. This goes far beyond bad taste in boyfriends"

I scoffed "i got that from you, mother "

Mom shot me a glare "Flavia"

Me "what? it's true. You even encouraged me to be with him"

Mom "if word gets out about this all anyone will thing when they hear the name of Serena and Flavia van der Woodsen is how you helped scam your friends and family out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Flavia, this could ruin your modeling career "

I nodded "know"

Serena nodded "i feel terrible. That's why i'm gonna get everything back. We have a plan"

Mom scoffed "Well, don't be naive. The Madoff people will be in court for years and never see a dime. The only plan is for me to tell everyone the deal didn't work out and pay them myself"

Me "what about Poppy?"

Mom asked confused "what about her?"

Me "she was behind all of this. She can't just get away with it."

Mom nodded "Yes, she can. And especially if it means that your name stays out of it. This is an adult scandal. and the adult thing to do is for me to pay everyone back...and for you to do absolutely nothing. Now let it o. am i understood"

I nodded "yes"

Then i scoffed shaking my head and walked in to my room.

Serena called Blair and put her on speaker.

Blair "hey, S."

Serena "My mom wants us to call off the plan"

Blair "what? no. Do you know how much work this exorcism was?It's gonna take days for Dorota to reorganize my closet."

Serena " I don't like it either. I'm just tell you.She wants to take care of the things herself and she want us to leave Poppy out of it. "

Blair "Poppy is it"

Me "We know"

Blair "she's so evil she makes the old Georgina look like the new Georgina"

Suddenly we heard mom yelled "girls!"

Serena "We have to go. Just put the plan on hold, and do not do anything until i call you back, okay?"

Blair " Wait!"
