The Lost Empire

A few days later. At mom's.

I walked inside and saw everyone packing up. Guess, i am a little late for breakfast. Yeah, Dan and Vanessa were here, they're dating now. I'm not really surprised.

I pouted "don't tell me i'm late"

Nate walked over to me "Morning, baby"

I smiled and kissed him "morning"

Nate "how was the fitting for the Fashion Show?"

I nodded "Great. Sorry i missed the breakfast"

He shook his head, putting a hand on my hip "Don't worry about it"

Suddenly his phone rang and he took it out.

He froze "oh my god"

I asked worried "What's wrong?"

Nate "We have to find Chuck"

At a bar.

Serena, Blair, Chuck, Nate and i were here.

Me "Chuck, what's going on?"

Chuck "it would appear we've all been players in a Jack Bass plot"

I froze "what did he do now?"

Chuck " The reappearance of my mother, the lawsuit, it's all been part of an elaborate ruse..to get me to sign over my hotel to Elizabeth. You have to admire his handiwork"

He took a sip of his drink.

Serena "have you spoken to your lawyers? There's gotta be a way"

He sighed "Turns out my lawyer was in on it. Regardless...a suit to regain control would take months by which time Jack would've bankrupted the hotel making it easy pickings for whatever vultures he has lined up. My only hope is to talk to Elizabeth alone convince her to sign the hotel back over to me. "

Nate "What makes you think she's gonna do that?"

Chuck shook his head "this isn't her idea. Jack has something on her. I just need to figure out what. I'll call you"

He kissed Blair on the cheek and then walked out.

Nate "We thought Chuck got his dark side from his father. Maybe his mother's the one that's evil"

Serena "if we even know it's his mother"

Blair "Chuck did a DNA test. It was his guy at the N.Y.P.D.. "

Nate "He probably sent it out to a lab. I wouldn't put it past Jack Bass to fake it"

Blair "Whatever the truth is, Chuck isn't ready to hear it. I have to get ready for a Fashion show. It's in two hours, and i have 30 friends coming. "

Then she walked away.

Nate asked confused "What? what friends?"

I shrugged.

At the Fashion Show.

Serena "I know what Chuck said but shouldn't-?"

I shook my head "no. He wants to handle it on his own so we're gonna let him handle it on his own"

She sighed.

I shook my head "do not do anything stupid, okay?"

She nodded "Fine."

Me "promise me"

She nodded "i promise i won't do anything"

I nodded "good"

I was taking a sip of my drink when Nate walked over to me.

Nate "Wow, i didn't realize Blair had so many friends at NYU"

Me "Thought at $300 an hour, they don't come cheap. "

Nate looked at me amused "no way"

I nodded.

Nate's phone rang "It's Chuck"

He answered "Hey"

I moved closer to him to hear the conversation.

Chuck "i couldn't get it through to Elizabeth."

Nate "Well, what happened?"

Chuck "She thinks she loves Jack. It's over. The empire is gone"

Nate "Maybe not. Hey, can you get Jack to Eleanor's fashion show?"

I looked at him confused.

I walked down the runway, poker face on. Everyone was cheering.

I posed and then walked back to the other models.

Eleanor walked in stage while we other models lined up on stage, smiling.

I froze when i didn't see Nate in the crowd. 

 Where is he?

Outside.

I was outside ready to call Nate when i suddenly felt two arms around me turning me around.

I smiled "hey. I was about to call you"

Nate smiled "I'm right here"

Me "i got worried when i didn't see you in the crowd"

Nate nodded "i saw you walking the runway, Fla, don't worry."

Me "and? how was i?"

Nate "Fabulous. As always"

I smiled and put a hand on his cheek "i love you, Nate"

Then i kissed him.
