After school, Danni and I wait for Rain.

She gets to the school around three thirty ish.

Rain takes us home and then goes back to work.

She picks us up during her lunch break.

Danni immediately takes off her shoes and goes into the dining room.

She places her Agenda on the table taking a seat.

Everyday she goes straight to doing her homework.

"I don't see how you do it!" I say.

"Do what?" Danni asked while working on a math problem.

"How do you go to school for seven hours and go straight home to do your homework!"

"If I wanna keep my 4.0 I've gotta work!" Danni says.

I look at my phone.

I look away from my phone and I look at Danni again.

She could drive me.

"Danni?" I asked her.

She is focused on her homework but she does reply.

"Hm?" Danni says.

"Wanna drive me to L.A. when you get your car fixed?"

Danni drops her pencil.

"To L.A., for what?" Danni asked.

"I wanna meet someone,"

Danni shakes her head no.

"I will not be apart of this! I don't have any gas money to be driving your little ass to L.A.!"

"I'll get you money, come on." I beg. 

"I don't wanna be a third wheel!"

I look at my phone.

Perfect, I think to myself.

"He's got a sixteen year old buddy!" I say holding the 'dy' in buddy.

Danni looks at her homework.

"I've got- homework!" Danni says. 

"Not today dummy!" I giggle.

"Fine, when?" Danni asked.

"When are you gonna get your car fixed?" I asked Danni.

"I don't know..." Danni trails off grabbing her phone and looking at the calendar. "Like next week?"

"So we can meet up with him..." I trail off thinking of a good day.

"How about- never?" Danni asked going on her phone.

"Nope, in a month."

"I guess," Danni says.

She locks her phone and then goes back to doing her homework.

I look at Danni and I smile.

"I'm so excited!"

"All I know is this little friend of his better be fine as hell!" Danni says.

"Like what fine, Michael B. Jordan or LaMelo Tall fine?"

"Ball motherfucker, it's Ball!" Danni throws her pencil at me causing me to laugh.
