Gunfighter's Dream:

As I slept I couldn't help but dream about my younger days as a child like most of these children here. I was walking on a hill looking over a ranch where I saw my best friend and neighbor: Samantha Blackwell. My adrenaline skyrocketed as my instincts kicked in and I ran down the hill full sprint and through the cornfield my family planted three months ago. I hopped over the split rail fence we've installed and into the side of the bar where I stopped to catch my breath and sneak up on her. Creeping along the shadow side of the barn, I looked around the corner to see if she was there still by my mother. "Damn." I muttered. Leaning back around the corner with my back against the wall I looked to left to her smiling at me with her hands in front of her like she was gonna attack me like a mountain lion. Rather than scream, I ducked and rolled in front of me as she went for the grab and got back up to pick her up from the waist and carry her back to the front porch. "Hhheeyyy no fair! I had you dead to rights!" I couldn't help but laugh at her pouting. "You gotta be quicker than that! What if I was a hunter?" She smacked me in the head to let her down to which I happily did. "Now son, you know better not to grab a lady like that." I looked at her with a large smile and responded, "I know, but she's not just a lady...she's my one and only friend around here." In the middle of my excuse I was gently grabbing Samantha and hugging her to my side. "Hey! Let me go you dunce!" She hit me in the head with a balled fist but didn't punch me, rather she brought it down on my head like a hammer on a nail. "Could you stop hitting me in the head like that? I'm gonna get a concussion from you." She giggled and nodded no while walking over to the porch swing to look out towards our crops and horses in the field across the way. Samantha's tails swayed with her swinging, she looked so elegant sitting there with that beautiful smile. "Mind if I sit next to you?" She looked to her right and answered, "No touching!" "I raised my hands while smiling. "No touching, you have my word...to a certain extent." I sat next to her before she could respond to my joke. As I looked at her everything started to fade away like dust blowing in the wind when I heard a sound of heels hitting pavement getting closer. Damn it!

Gunfighter's POV:

I kept my left hand near my gu I raised my hat with the right. I squinted to the bright morning sun before my eyes adjusted to the light outside only to see a blonde woman looking down at me. "I thought you'd like some coffee before you start your day." I lifted my hat to the top of my head as I sat up from my makeshift bed. "Thank you Miss Good witch." She handed me the rather large mug before standing there in silence looking at me. As I took a sip I couldn't help but notice her staring at me. "Aside from me sleeping here, I didn't do anything troubling did I?" I asked her. "No you didn't, but I wanted to apologize about last night. I didn't know those boys were messing around your hor...JC last night. I wanted to apologize for my outburst." I got up with the mug in hand and stood up in front of here and extend my free hand. "What's this abou-" "Just stick you hand out" I responded calmly. As she put her hand out I gently grabbed it and shook her hand while saying, "All wrongs between us forgiven. Now we can start over again." She looked at me dumbfounded before she took her hand calmly away and asked another question. "Last night, after I yelled at you, why did you say thank you to me?" I took another big gulp and swallowed it before answering, "You did no harm to me or JC. An outburst is nothing to hate someone for, especially a beautiful woman like yourself. I was raised to respect a woman unless she tries to kill me, then it's a different story." She shook her head in understandment before turning back the way she came and left. Before getting out of hearing range she turned around and said, "The teacher's dorms are down the main hallway and to the right then last hallway to the left at the very end. We set up a dorm for you to stay, and JC can be left alone in the back near some trees so you can keep your eyes on him." I looked over towards her tipping my hat in thanks to which she understood before continuing on her way. I finished my coffee and put the mug in one of my pockets that could hold it long enough for me to pack my blanket and grab my saddle and coat so I could take JC around the back where I could see him.

Third Person:

After walking around the school for nearly an hour, Beacon's newest member finally found someone who could give him directions to the teacher's dormitories. "Sir? Mind giving directions to the teacher's dorms?" The large professor turned around to face him and surprisingly answered with pride in his voice. "Why yes I can mr.-uh-umm...what's your name again?" The gunfighter adjusted the saddle hanging on his shoulder before answering. "I'm not one to give out my name. Some directions would be appreciated though. Ms. Good witch told me to take a left but she failed to mention which left turn to take." He lifted his chest and answered, "Sure thing! If you would, follow me." "Mind if I get a name so I remember who helped me?" He stopped and turned around with his hand extended. "Professor Port." The gunfighter took his hand and gave a firm handshake. They both went along their way after that and made it to the teacher's dorms where Port left him to find his room since he had a class about to start. Going down the rooms he jiggled each handle to see if any of them were unlocked. *Click* He stopped at the door at the end of the hallway and opened it to see a nice sized room with a large window looking over the back area where JC was roaming around. Nice view, better get settled. He put the saddle near the door and put a large rolled cloth holding a bunch of different guns and a few bladed weapons on the desk near the window and looked out it one last time before settling in. "How long am I gonna have to be around kids before I go mad?" He asked himself turning away from the window to close the door. Taking his coat, pistol belts, and hat off, he put them on the coat hooks near the door above his saddle. He went into the small kitchen area to see what food and drinks were lying around. Thanks Ozpin, you could've at least left me some coffee here. Sighing he went back to the main room and put his hat back on along with the gun belts before leaving his new home for the time being.
