Gunfighter's POV:

I kept following the short girl until she came to the elevator where I hid behind the corner far from her to see what she was up to. I slowly came around as she had her back turned in the elevator as the doors closed, but the moment she turned around I was well in full view watching her. Judging by her late reaction, I don't think she saw me, or I didn't entirely see her expression. Rather than wait for her to question I pressed the button and waited patiently. As I waited there I looked around and set my sights on a odd stain still on the floor here next to the elevator's entrance. The floor's color was brighter than a spot which said enough. "Good to see some part of you is still here Jesse." I mumbled before the elevator's ding got my attention. I was expecting to see a half scared girl standing in there, but to my surprise, no one was in here. "Now where did you go?" I asked myself stepping in. I looked at the panel and saw a button with the light off, yet looked like it was used judging by the smudge covering its surface. I wiped my finger over the surface and rubbed it between my fingers before taking a whiff of its smell. "Makeup?" I tried pressing the button to see nothing happen and inspected further to see a key port next to it. "Something no one's supposed to see?" I asked pulling my knife out. I took the point and slowly jammed it behind the lock before prying it out of its place and getting the light to turn on after some twisting and turning of the lock behind its cover, and then putting back in place. "Let's see where you go." I pressed the now lit button and kept my stance as the metal box started to go down. It felt like an eternity before the box started to come to a slow halt and stopped with a ding. The doors opened to the last thing I expected. A long barely lit, elongated room standing before me. "What the hell is this?" I put my hand in my false pocket and slowly walked out before the doors closed. I didn't bother looking back knowing I wasn't stuck down here, so I started to walk towards the end up until I heard the sound of a camera going off not far in front of me. I took cover behind a large column and peeked around to see where the sound came from and not surprised when I saw shorty standing in front of a machine. "Guess you're really heartbroken after your old friend's death huh Neo?" I mumbled while cocking the revolver under my coat. The echo in here wasn't in my favor seeing how she turned her head quickly, barely giving me time to duck back behind. I heard several more photos being taken before the sound of her heels on her boots hitting the hard tile floor gave her location away. Since they were a fast pace, not full on running, I think she's a bit weary of me. I pulled my Walker out and came around the corner with it pointing in her general location before getting her full, undivided attention. Her eyes said enough to know that she knew what I knew. "Wrong place." I said aloud before squeezing the trigger. I expected her to fall dead, but I wasn't prepared for her response. She dodged my bullet by slipping across the floor and running down the way we came. I cocked the hammer once again and fired taking another chunk from the column where I hit before firing once again until she disappeared in the darkness behind the elevator. I poked the inside of my ear trying to ease the sound of thunder echoing in my head from this damn room. Not my brightest idea, but not my worst. I started to give chase into the direction she went with my gun still in hand and ran around the elevator to see something I didn't expect. A staircase hidden in darkness leading up through another towing spiral. "Damn it." I muttered before looking back at my little mess I made. Three chunks were missing from the pillars were now little chunks and large strewn out lines of dust. I walked back to the machine she was standing in to see what she was interested in so much. I felt a part of myself die off once I saw who was in the machine, unresponsive. "You to huh Amber?" I asked staring at the innocent woman laying in this damn device probably keeping her alive. I've never had many friends survive the same years as I, but she was a promising one. Almost sister-like on our first run in when she was on her first solo mission. I pulled a unfinished cigar out and lit it as I stood there trying to comprehend the problem I now faced. I stood there in silent as I worked it down while thinking of some times I had the privilege to work with her. I took some pride knowing that there was someone out there with a great power, someone who knew how to use it, and wasn't part of this old man's sick fucking game. I've helped her on some of her missions, gave some hearty advise how to approach a problem, and even may have been a mentor to her. I've met her as a kid and always said she could be destined to be something great. God damn my soul for being so wrong in my entire life. There's somethings that deserve what they get, but not her. Not like this. I turned around and marched up those stairs while throwing the cigar to the ground near the elevator doors, and rather than take the elevator, I followed the most logical path to look for the short girl to get some answers, and to find the entrance to this damn cavern of a room down below the school. As I got to the top I could barely see the outline of the door, and stopped rather than bust it down in a fit of rage. It's bad enough I'm here, but I don't need the world coming down on me for killed a supposed student on school grounds. I put my gun back into its holster and stood there thinking to myself, standing right by the door. I punched the wall in anger knowing I had to play it smart and spent the next few minutes trying to open the door to see where I now was. I wish I didn't toss that cigar back there. I mentally nagged myself before finding a lever and pulling it. The door moved down with some gears turning and noticed the room I now walk in. The door, now a wall from the side, moved back into its original place and locked as I turned around to examine my new room I was in. After spinning around I looked at the desk in the classroom I was in and knew from the crop rider sitting on its surface, I was in Glynda's room. I quickly made my way to the door and opened it to shear some voices coming towards me and decided now wasn't the time to answer any suspicious questions, so I played the obvious choice. I went to one of the seats and made myself comfortable as the voices got closer and put my hat over my head to make it seem like I was sleeping away from everyone until I could get myself out of this mess. "So what do you think we're doing tod-" Some was asking, but didn't finish when they got a good look at me sitting back "Sleeping" behind one of the desks. "What's going on?" I heard Glynda asked as she came in behind the group forming adjacent to me. "Umm...why is he in here?" Someone asked probably pointing to me. I could here Glynda' heels clicking towards me and slowly moved my hat up before she made me go deaf from yelling. "Hmm?" I asked trying to play it off. She gave me stern look and didn't say a thing as I looked behind her at the students looking at me a bit shocked to see me there. I looked back at her and said, "I'll leave. Sorry Miss Goodwitch." She looked at me a little surprised I didn't try to stand up to her, but after seeing an old fried being confined in a state she doesn't belong I didn't want to confront another person for some time. "Is that him?" "I think it is!" "We might want to clear the way dude!" I kept hearing some of them mumble, but paid no mind to them as I left a quiet Glynda and some new fresh face students joining Beacon here today. "Hey, wait up!" I turned around to see Ruby coming at me in a flash, so fast that I felt the urge to move to the side which was a good idea because she didn't come to a complete stop until three feet from where I was. Seeing her skid across the smooth tile floor was a bit funny, but now's not the time. As much as I want to find something to take my mind off Amber, I just couldn't sit back and move on from this. "I went looking for you all day. Where were you?" I gave Ruby my undivided attention and answered, "Been busy. You?" She shrugged saying, "Had to help a team from Haven find their dorm." I nodded and started to continue walking back to my dorm when I stopped and and decided to throw my differences aside for a small while. "Ruby, do you know where this team is exactly?" I asked turning around towards her. "Yeah they're near our dorm down the hallway. Why?" "Room number?" She started to think and replied, "I can't remember it per say, but it is seven doors to the left when you face ours." I nodded and stormed away to Ozpin's office. 'What's going on?" I stopped and looked at her. "Ruby, we may have a problem. Stay away from them at all costs." After I left her to what I said, I came around a corner to see the man I was looking for. Judging by his reaction, he wasn't expecting me at all. "I need a word with you." He took a breath of relief and asked, "About what?" I looked around and got closer before telling him my findings. "I believe you may have some active criminals here. Some people who aren't here for a fighting experience in the tournament." He scoffed and replied, "How do you find that possible? If they were criminals, then how did me nor any other hunter here find out about them first?" I started to give him a more menacing glare and said, "The two, green haired girl and the grayish silver haired one, they're out in the middle of the countryside looking for something when I came across them. The short girl. Her eyes are exactly the same as the Roman's old partner." Ozpin raised his hand saying, "That's where I'm gonna ask you to stop. Torchwick's partner hasn't been seen since he disappeared after escaping Atlas. Secondly, how would you know what she looks like?" I gave him a glare that made others cower in fear while telling him Roman's exact grave. "Forever Falls. Open field at the end of the old highway the extended out there. You find the wreck of an Atlas ship burned there. He's not far from the wreckage." He raised an eyebrow and asked, "How do yo-" "I killed him Ozpin. I'm trying to play it by your rules and you want me to shut up." I started to walk away leaving him baffled from killing Roman to which he asked rather quickly. "What's your plan if you're right?" I didn't answer him. He's wasting my time, and that isn't something I won't have left to waste.

Emerald's POV:

"What do you think's taking Neo so long?" I sat on my bed sitting there playing on my scroll while Cinder pasted back and forth while Mercury sat in the chair. "Maybe she found where they keep the deserts here at Beacon." "Both of you stay quiet for one minute!" Cinder shouted instantly shutting us both up. "Neo's still here. She sent me some pictures, but never gave me the rest, so I'd assume she was nearly caught." Mercury and I looked at each other before the door opening grabbed our attention. "About time. What happened?" Cinder asked marching over to Neo locking the door. She turned around to look at us and seeing her expression, I'd say she had a run in with death. She pulled her scroll out and typed away as if her life depended on it before giving it to Cinder. "What!? How the hell did he find you!? How did he even get down there!? He couldn't have-" Neo took her phone and started to type again, but stopped when someone knocked on the door. "Who is it?" I asked covering for Cinder. No one answered. Mercury got off the chair as I got up and went to the door. As I opened it my heart stopped as I came into view who knocked on the door. Towering above me was the gunfighter. Shadow from the lights above him covering the top half of his face in darkness as he stared down at me. 'Who is is Emera-" Mercury was asking, but saw what was staring at me. "Can we help you?" Cinder asked opening the door after Neo hid. He slightly moved his head scanning the room before looking back at Cinder, Mercury, and I saying, "Don't stand in the middle of road again when someone's riding by dipshit." And left. I quickly closed the door while Mercury moved back then Cinder asked, "How does he know you two?" I could see it in her eyes that she was pissed, yet scared as much as we were. "We may have call him an-" I quickly interrupted Mercury. "He called him an asshole when we were coming back from the small town you sent us too to find information on him." Cinder glared daggers at Mercury as he shrugged it off. "This mission just became more harder than intended." She stated with fear in her voice. I stared at her knowing if she's scared then we should be scared too. Neo came out from her hiding spot and sent me a message through her scroll asking: Didn't you say Mercury and you saw a man clad in black more than once on your missions? I looked at her with a raised eyebrow and showed Mercury the message keeping Cinder oblivious before we looked at her nodding in agreement. What the hell is going on!?
