"Do you have everything ready to go?" Hyungwon's mother asks, sparing him a glance from the driver's seat of her car.

"Yes, Mom," Hyungwon returns with a groan, rolling his eyes as he looks out the window. Ever since he came out to her hardly a week ago, things have been weird, to say the least. At first they were outright unbearable, the two would hardly speak and even occasionally glare at each other. That is until just yesterday, when she apologized for being so selfish and misunderstanding his feelings. Now it's just weird between them.

She still hasn't quite come to terms with the fact that her son probably won't be marrying someone of the opposite gender, and Hyungwon still hasn't quite come to terms with the fact that he is in fact out on his own now as an adult so far away from home. It's weird for both of them.

"Okay, okay, I just want to be sure. I don't want to drive five and a half hours to bring something that you forgot."

As trees rush past their car, Hyungwon can't help but wonder how he will manage waking up on time for classes on his own. How am I going to handle this by myself? As if sensing her son's anxiety, Hyungwon's mother speaks up again.

"It's going to be okay, sweetie. You'll have a roommate, so you won't be living alone." When Hyungwon doesn't respond, she continues. "Back when I was in college, my roommate and I hit it off! Trust me, your roommate will end up being your closest friend you make throughout these four years."

After Hyungwon finally passes through registration and receives his room key, he says goodbye to his mother. It isn't as hard as he pictured it being.

"Text me everyday sweetie, alright?" She tells him, reaching up to pinch Hyungwon's cheek.

"Mom, stop," He groans, pushing her hand away. She sighs but complies, giving him one last hug. As she's walking back to the parking lot to her car, she calls out to her son. "Don't forget to eat! You need some meat on your bones!"

Hyungwon waves goodbye and starts loads his belongings on the cart provided by the school. As he glances around, he sees that he didn't bring nearly as much as anyone else did. All that he had with him was one suitcase holding his clothes and two boxes that held his belongings, one box solely filled with his various art supplies. Maybe I should have brought more?

Hyungwon shakes it off and pushes the cart to the elevator, and then to his room on the third floor of the dorm. He finds room 315 and takes a deep breath before inserting his key and pushing the door open.

He half expects the room to be full of witchcraft items and spellbooks- from the many 'horror roommate' stories that he's read online- and he half expects the room to be completely empty. What he doesn't expect to see, however, is half of the room already completely set up. Hyungwon pulls the cart full of his belongings inside, slipping his shoes off inside the door.

"Hello?" He calls out, curious as to if his roommate is here to meet him or not. When he gets no response, he leaves his cart near the door and walks further into the main room. There are two beds, one on the left and one on the right. The bed on the left is draped with a bare black comforter and a few green pillows are arranged neatly near the head of the bed. The desk next to it has already been set up as well.

Hyungwon looks to the bed at his right and notices that it's just a bare mattress, and the desk next to it is bare, as well. I guess that side is mine.

Hyungwon begins unpacking his things, realizing that he brought the perfect amount of stuff. As he opens the closet to hang up his t-shirts, his eyes widen slightly. Half of it is full of sweaters. That's it. Just sweaters in practically any color or pattern to be imagined.

He shakes his head, remembering that this is an art school, after all, and hangs up his shirts, which are mostly black. He feels relieved when he sees his side of the room complete- a gray comforter with white pillows and his desk set up and clothes put away. Hyungwon decides to explore the rest of his shared dorm room before taking the cart that held his luggage back to where it belongs.

He walks down the hallway next to his roommate's bed. There's a door on the left that opens to a bathroom. He notices that his roommate has already filled one of the shelves with various shampoos, facial cleansers... and that's when Hyungwon swears. He left all his toiletries at home.

He sighs, but when remembering that he did receive a full ride to go here he doesn't feel so bad about having to go to the store later to buy a few things.

Walking just barely past the bathroom is what Hyungwon assumes is the kitchen. There's a small table with two chairs tucked away in the corner of the room, and a fridge, stove, and microwave on the opposite wall.

Hyungwon decides that exploring time is pretty much over and heads back to the main room. He pushes the cart back towards the door, tying his tennis shoes back up. As he pulls open the door, his heart skips a beat. He didn't expect someone to already be on the other side of the door.

The boy in front of him looks confused, as well. His hand is still mid-air holding his room key, which Hyungwon notices does in fact match his own with a 315. Upon realizing that the door has already been opened, the boy looks up.

He has bright blonde hair, making Hyungwon tilt his head sideways for a moment. He looks so familiar. The boy is staring back at him with the same gaze. Neither of them speak, until the blonde's eyes widen suddenly.

"Hyungwon?" He asks, unsure of the sight before him. Upon hearing the blonde boy speak, Hyungwon feels anger starting to build inside his chest. Though his hair and build have changed, Minhyuk's voice hasn't.
