Ravi's POV
When mom said Sweety wants to talk to me , I already know what she is about to talk . I entered her room after knocking . She is fidgeting .
" Why are you sweating bullets Sweety ? " I asked smiling
" No .. I ....you ... " she stuttered
" Why are you stuttering ? It's just me "
"Thank you for not telling about my pregnancy . I want to go back to New York tomorrow " she said
" Why ? Are you angry with us that we didn't talk to you all these years ? " I asked
" No Ravi . I can never be angry with you or aunt . It is better if I go now . Aunt forgave me . I cant let anyone know about my pregnancy . I can't face them . Moreover mom wants me back immediately . I will definitely come back " she said
" I cannot let you travel now . You are weak and need proper care . You will have only stress with your mom around and how can you get married again when you are already married ? " I said
" I will go in private jet . I won't let my mom affect me from now on . My marriage is not registered and no one knows . My mom won't consider that marriage . No matter what she will make me marry Rohan . I know how to handle him . My mom will abort my baby if I tell her . I promise , I will take care of everything . Please let me go " she pleaded
" You told Siri that your mom expects you next week . Leaving before will be suspicious . Wait till then " I said trying to buy sometime to fix everything . She remained silent .
" Don't you want to attend Siri's engagement ? Is it because her fiancé is Arjun ? " I asked
" Why... why do you ....think Arjun is the reason ? " she stuttered
I know what she is thinking . She thinks I suspect her husband to be Arjun . She totally forgot how their relation was 6 years back .
" Isn't it obvious " I said smiling
" What ....Issss ...obvious " she asked
" You both hate each other and your best friend getting married to him must be hard for you , right ? Do you think he will trouble you like he used to in your childhood ?" I asked
She sighed in relief .
" No .... Arjun used to be rude to only me . He is nice to everyone and I know Siri will be happy with him . You all are there . So I'm ok with it " she stated ' Arjun used to be rude ' unconsciously .
" Then what is the problem ? You can immediately leave after their engagement " I said
She nodded in defeat .
" Take rest for today . Tomorrow you are coming home " I said
" Why ? " she asked
" What do you mean by why ? If you are not tired , I would have taken you home right now . Do you think mom will let you stay here . I'm sure she wants to take you right away . I have to convince her about that " I said
" Siri needs my help " she tried
" Megha is going to stay here from now on till engagement " I said
" Ok " she said running out of excuses .
" Ok then . Good night . Morning I will take you home " I said holding her hand . She nodded and closed her eyes . Within seconds she started snoring , typical of Sweety , falling asleep in seconds . She must be tired . I went downstairs
