"Why did you do that? I would've handled it." Oscar questioned calmly as he gently disinfected my wounds. He grabbed a piece of gauze and poured salt water onto it. Though he gently blotted the wound with it, I couldn't help but hiss due to the painful prickling sensation. "Sorry, love."

After a few moments of silence, I parted my lips to speak. "I had to do that for my own sanity. If I didn't beat him up for shooting Rico, I would've never felt some sort of peace within me. Besides, I barely even touched him." Oscar chuckled while covering my injured knuckles in bandages. "You gave the guy a broken nose, jaw and a blue eye."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "See? Barely."

I tapped my fingers against my arm in a steady rhythm as my eyes stayed trained on the moon that illuminated the heavens. I always had this weird obsession of moon gazing when I was little. I didn't — and still don't know why, but I find it interesting. I always wondered what it would be like to be in space. I guess Rico was really rubbing off on me due to his crazy stories about wanting to be an astronaut. I harshly blinked the upcoming tears away and gulped.

I knew he would be fine, I prayed that he would be fine so shedding a tear wouldn't change my reality — just bring me more sorrow. My door slowly creaked open as a silhouette I knew too well slipped in. He walked towards me, the rays of moonlight exuding through my window, shining upon his face. He sat on the edge of my bed as I shifted my attention back to the luminous star.
