A yell echoed throughout the quiet house that I lived in with my brother. I roll over in my bed, tangling myself in my sheets as I groaned. The sunlight streamed through my half closed blinds and shone on my face, refusing to let me fall back asleep. I put my hand in front of my face and slowly opened my eyes, seeing the dust of the house dance in the sunlight. Another yell shattered the silence, followed by angry footsteps towards my room.
"Han A-ro!" A male voice yelled as they knocked on the door angrily. "Get up! We are going to be late!" My brother was always so grumpy in the morning and always shouted for me to get up. I groaned again and pulled the blankets up over my head. Suddenly, my brother burst in and pulled my blanket off me.
"Han Sung!~ Stop it! I'm up now" I yelled at him as I climbed out of bed and shoved him out of my room with a sigh. I walked over to my wardrobe and pulled out a black and red shirt, ripped jeans and a leather jacket. I got them on quickly before doing some light makeup and slinging my bag over my shoulder. My brother was waiting at the door impatiently in his usual hoodie and jeans. I walked past him and out of the house towards school.
My brother and I had been living alone for a few years as my father lived in America and my mother had died. Han Sung offered to look after me so we could remain in Korea and our father could continue with his business. It sucked not seeing him but I managed to live without him for most of my life anyway.
"Oy! A-ro!" Hang Sung shouted at me and jogged to keep up. I sighed and pulled out one of my headphones so I could hear him better. "Are you meeting those boys again?" He asked as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. I scoffed a little and ruffled my shoulder length hair.
"Probably. What's it to you?" I mumbled as I looked ahead, seeing other students walking towards our school. Hang Sung imitated me saying 'probably' in a high pitched voice to which I replied with a kick to the shin. Soon enough, he branched off to walk with his friends and I was left walking on my own. I sighed slightly as the cold nipped at my warm body and my breath made small clouds.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed my shoulder and I was turned around. In front of me were my seven best friends. I had only been friends with them for roughly a month but we had still bonded- well, all of us except the 'bad boy of the group', Min Yoongi. He was handsome and intimidating and never spoke to me so I never made the effort with him. The boy with his hand currently on my shoulder was Park Jimin, who smiled at me with his eyes and lips. I pulled out my headphones and smiled back at the faces who all smiled at me. I glanced at Yoongi who had a poker face on as usual.
"I was wondering where you were" I said to them as I punched Jimin in the arm. He pouted and flicked me on the nose with a chuckle.
"We've been behind you for ages. You must have had your music pretty loud because we shouted you a few times." Jimin's best friend Kim Seokjin said to me, rolling his eyes slightly. I rolled my eyes back at him and went to the side of one of the liveliest boys in the group, Jung Hoseok who smiled down at me with his goofy smile. We all began walking to school, laughing and talking.
As we arrived at school, we suddenly noticed that Yoongi had disappeared.
"He does that a lot. Bit weird he is" Kim Taehyung chuckled as he winked at me, following it with his rectangular smile to which I always smiled back too. The first bell rang which called us all to our first lesson which was Physical Education.
