      Chapter Nineteen

(A/N: Ok, we're starting off in Jake's POV and then we'll get to the explanation of the picture.)

"What the hell is your problem? Do you know what you just did to her?" I hollered behind Marco in the parking lot. He stopped and turned around with an annoyed look on his face, his jaw was pretty bruised up and he still looked in pain every time he moved his head. Letting go of Marcia's hand, he walked closer to me and chuckled. "Dude. Really? Come on. A week ago, you didn't give a crap about what happened to this chick. She's just some girl, but between us, when she's not all sobby, tell her to call me. Maybe she'll stop being such a prude." he smirked, running a hand through his hair and looking at Marcia and Gabby. Both of them were looking smug as if they had won something special. My blood was boiling at this point and I'm pretty sure the vein on my forehead was popping out but, I just clenched my fists and continued talking.

"You're an asshole Greene and karma is a bitch so it's gonna hurt eventually. Keep Marcia, after all, she's just as much of a whore as you. I hope one day you choke on all the shit you say." I responded with a snarl, turning around and walking towards my car. Behind me, you could just hear him chuckle and walk away towards the two girls. Who the hell did he think he was? "Lenne?" I shouted, putting my keys on the table and walking up the stairs. With every step I took, the sobbing was louder and honestly it broke my heart. When I opened her door, she was laying on the floor, clawing at her arms and breathing heavily. Her mascara was running down her face and she looked like she was in pain, both physically and emotionally. Sobbing began to tug at her hair, saying over and over again that she couldn't breathe. Lenne was legitimately trembling and it looked as if she was completely detached from everything around her. It's as if what was going on around her didn't exist and she was in her own head.

"Hey. Hey. Come here baby girl. Come here. It's ok. Calm down." I whispered, getting close to her and bringing her into my arms. I picked her up and took her over to her bed, sitting down and then sitting her down on my lap so her head was on my chest. Her heart was pounding like crazy, I could feel that much from the way she was laying on me. I can't quite say how long we were sitting there like that, but she finally calmed down enough to actually look up at me with tired eyes. She was shaken and exhausted just like last time she had a panic attack, just that his time I had more of an idea of what it was about. When she came to the realization of who it was, she didn't pull away, only laid her head back down.

"Please don't let go." was all I heard her whisper, her voice breaking slightly. Soon enough, her breathing was steady and her heart had started pulsating in an even beat. While she slept, I couldn't help but stare at her. In between her broken complexion at the moment, she was beautiful. The way her lips parted slightly as she slept and her nose scrunched up as if she was having an argument with someone in a dream. She shifted so she was now laying on the bed, but her legs were still entwined with mine. I knew if I pulled away now she was going to wake up and there would be an awkward silence. Against my better judgement, I laid back and held onto her waist, planting a kiss on her forehead. As I pulled back to lay back down, I saw the linger of a small smile on her lips and in that moment I knew that I was catching feeling's for a girl who got broken by so many people.

Lenne's POV

"Jake.Jake.Jake." I repeated over and over, trying to wake him. My bladder wasn't being very nice and he had a vice grip on my waist that I couldn't pull out of. After what seemed like forever, I finally gave up on trying to wake him up by talking so I just flicked his nose. His eyes were still closed but his eyebrows furrowed and his nose twitched. Immediately after I flicked his nose a second time his eyes shot open and he caught my wrist. I was pretty sure my eyes were as wide as saucers when he finally shook off the grogginess enough to actually glare at me. "What is so important that you had to wake me up by flicking my nose?" he groaned, letting go of my wrist and sitting up. I couldn't help but stare at him as he ran a hand through his hair. His shirt had ridden up a bit so I caught a glimpse of black lettering on his hip, making me raise an eyebrow. Before I could question it, my bladder decided to remind me that I had to pee and I took off towards the restroom.

"Couldn't exactly pee when you were holding me like a teddy bear. Just saying." I called behind me, chuckling and locking the restroom door. Seeing my reflection in the mirror made me cringe, for my mascara was everywhere on my face, I had huge bags under my eyes and my hair was practically sticking up. A sigh escaped my mouth as I washed the makeup off my face and later did my business. Washing my hands, I noticed scratches on my palms and wrists, only making me let out an aggravated growl. It was annoying to know that every time something happened that got me thinking about certain things, a wave of fear and anxiety was bound to hit me. There was a knock on the door so I quickly dried my tears and unlocked the door, pulling it open to see a worried Jake. I gave him a small smile and pointed at my door.

"You know that you don't have to babysit me for the rest of the day right?" I mumbled, running a hand through my tangled hair and wincing at the tenderness. He simply smiled at me and shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets. "I wouldn't call it babysitting. What if I actually do want to hang out with you?" he responded quizzically, winking and sauntering out the door. His confidence radiated off him in waves and honestly, it made me wonder who Jake Reece Asher really was. "By the way, I think I slept better last night than any other night of the past 5 years. Thanks for that." I said, before walking over to the door and closing it. It was true in all honesty. He kind of made the nightmare go away.

Alright Peaches, I love you and I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. This was more of a cute filler chapter in a way I guess. Probably not though considering, they're building a strong relationship but eh. Anyways, I'd like if you guys could create a ship name for Jake and Lenne, maybe? I'd really love that. If you have any ideas, leave it in the comments or message me. Besos my loves and hope you have your beautiful smile on your face. -Aime
