A nervous knot formed in my stomach as my wolf went over the plan one more time.
I was right to doubt him when he told me that he would tell me his plan for making it more romantic after I made the call. If I was smart, I would have told him 'no' as soon as he thought up the idea, but no, I had to agree, and think that it was a good idea. Only now that I was practically about to jump on a stage did I think it wasn't going to be such a good idea.
Do I have to do this?
It's all set up already. You can't wimp out now.
But she doesn't know that it's all set up. I could always just tell Zander that I'm not really feeling up to it at the moment.
If you did that he would laugh at us, and rightly so too. Come on, it's not like this is the first time you've preformed.
You're right. This isn't the first time, but all of the other times Sarah wasn't in the crowd.
She will love it. Do you remember her after the club? Singing, and dancing in circles? Remember how beautiful she looked to us then? How sweet it was to hear her voice? The bond goes both ways. She will think the same thing when we sing to her.
Taking a calming breath, I started to walk towards Zander, and Jack. Zander was sitting on a stool next to a microphone, tuning his guitar, and Jack was setting up a drum set behind him
Will you help me with the words if I forget any?
Do you not remember how much time you spent looking those up? You're not going to forget anything. Besides, do you really think I would let you make a fool out of yourself like that?
No, I replied feeling reassured.
You can do this, and it will be easy. It's not like this is the first time you've preformed. You're use to public speaking, this shouldn't be too different.
You're right.
I picked up the microphone, and turned to face the crowd, "Can I have everybody's attention please?"
After a few moments every face was turned to me with curiousity, though I'm sure some people knew what was going to happen.
"I'm sure everyone knows by now that we have three special guests with us today, and for those of you who are a little more shy, I would like to formally introduce them. Sarah, Hayden, and Abigale, we're glad to have you with us. Though I'm sure at this point you're probably thinking that I'm going a little too far with this whole 'formal introduction' thing. You're probably also wondering what the hell I'm doing up here with a microphone. That's a very good question if you thinking that, and the answer is simple. I have no clue what I'm doing. Some idiot convinced me to make a fool of myself, and a bigger fool of Zander. Unfortunately there's no going back now, so, without further ado...."
Turning to Zander I nodded, signalling for him to start playing.
I took one last calming breath as the intro was ending, and started to sing, "The trouble with girls is they're a mystery. Something about 'em puzzles me. Spent my whole life trying to figure out, just what them girls are all about. The trouble with girls is they're so dang pretty, everything about 'em does something to me, but I guess that's the way it's supposed to be."
Looking at my little fairy I saw her smiling brightly at me, and mouthing the words to the song as I sung them.
Looks like she knows this song.
