———————————-

**Dakotas POV** (surprise!)

"Bro how are things going on the Mayfair front? Got in her panties yet?" Christian slammed his weight against the locker next to mine making it rattle under his weight obnoxiously.

"Nah not yet." I answered, a weird feeling pulling at my insides but I quickly shut it up and shook it off.

"Then when are you gonna?" He asked in complete disbelief, shocked that I hadn't slept with her yet.

"I'm taking her on a date tomorrow night." We started walking towards the cafeteria dodging students who didn't mind being in the way, instead they just stood there chit chatting.

"Man she ain't gonna put out on the first date." He laughed, I couldn't help but roll my eyes, he clearly doubted me for some reason.

"Not everyone sleeps with people the first time they go out with someone." I told him and he laughed.

"Sucks for them." He shrugged carelessly. We grabbed our lunch and sat down and started to eat, well I started to eat Christian practically inhaled everything at once.

"A girl like that is going to take some time. You can't just take her on one date and expect her to get naked for you. You have to take her out, make her feel special and shit, and with some real effort you'll have her right where you want her. I can help you if you want." Maria warned as she fixed her cheer skirt and sat down next to her boyfriend Gabriel who just so happened to be one of my good friends. I didn't particularly care for her and her shitty attitude but for him I dealt with her and at least tried to play nice.

"Aren't you on the squad with her? Isn't there like some kind of girl code or some shit?" I scoffed in disbelief.

"She isn't my friend." She shrugged as she popped a French fry into her mouth. The way she shrugged Erika off so mindlessly and carelessly didn't sit well with me.

"Thanks for the offer but I can handle this on my own." I declined her offer simply because of her attitude alone.

"Suit yourself my offer stands if you change your mind you know where to find me." She winked playfully at me making my skin crawl. Sure she was dating Gabriel but that didn't stop her from throwing herself at me just about every time she could no matter how many times I turned her down.

"Great thanks." I thanked her sarcastically and went back to eating my food.

I was looking around the cafeteria aimlessly when my eyes landed on her. She was so beautiful without even trying. Her red hair in loose curls flowing while she walked. Her smile could melt any man to mush. I tried to shake my head to dismiss my thoughts on how attractive she was but no matter how hard I tried she kept getting under my skin and I barely even knew her. If I couldn't get her off my mind now I know it's going to be harder than hell in two months once this bet is over with.

The bruises on her face and her busted lip and cheek definitely caught my attention. I couldn't help but wonder who did that to her? And why? Anger swam throughout my veins when she wouldn't tell me who did that to her but I couldn't entirely blame her, she didn't owe me an explanation or anything.

**Erikas POV**

"Wait wait wait! He asked you out like on a date?!" Chelsea gasped in shock once I got inside her room I shut the door and plopped myself onto her bed. I told her everything from the moment I got into the car all the way to him dropping me off.

"Yeah it's weird right?" I asked as I cocked my head to the side.

"Weird isn't the word I would have chosen but you under estimate how worthy you are Erika." She smiled softly at me.

"Wait that's his jacket!" Her eyes widened to the size of saucers as her eyes trailed down to his black leather jacket.

"He told me to keep it." I nodded slowly making her squeal like an overly excited child who had gotten their way at the store.

"As jealous as I am that you were the one to get his attention I'm so freaking happy for you! We need to find you the perfect outfit for your date!" She jumped up and started fishing through her closet, tossing clothes onto the floor in the process making a huge mess but didn't seem the least bit fazed by it.

"Ahh here it is!" She beamed as she drug out a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a white off the shoulder sheer top. She tossed a pair of black ankle boots on the floor beside me.

"This is perfect because you don't know exactly what you are going to do, that way you won't be over dressed or under dressed." She smiled feeling way too proud of herself but I had to admit it was a cute outfit.

"Thanks Chels." I smiled gratefully, so thankful that I had her help and expertise because I had no idea what to wear on dates since I had never been on one before. To be honest I was nervous about dating but part of me was excited and looking forward to getting to know someone other than Chelsea.

One thing I knew for sure was that I couldn't tell Dakota about Steve and the abuse I had endured, he wouldn't understand. Hell I don't even understand it much less explain it to someone else. Chelsea would be the only one who knew other than our parents.
