"I cannot see where the pathway leads" Dwalin informed "do we follow it or no?"

"Follow it, of course!" Bofur replied, beginning to walk in that direction

"I think that would be wise" Gandalf said

Ryneela, keeping ahold of her bow, followed Gandalf, Thorin walking behind her, and Kili lingering, mixed emotions filling him. The Company begins following the path, which is quite narrow, and its a crack between two tall cliffs, Ryneela being the only other one able to properly squeeze through the cracks with no issue, even with her bag on her back. At times, the dwarves have difficulty going through, some of them even needing to shove Bombur through, especially with his size, Kili would occasionally look at Ryneela, only to close his eyes and look away, continuing to follow the rest of the company. The pathway eventually opens out into an open area, a beautiful valley below,

"The Valley of Imraldis" Gandalf said "in the Common Tongue, it’s known by a another name"

"Rivendell" Bilbo said, an amazed look on his features,

"Here lies the last Homely House east of the sea" Ryneela said softly

"This was your plan all along, to seek refuge with our enemy" Thorin said, looking at Gandalf

"You have no enemies here, Thorin Oakenshield" Gandalf replied "the only ill-will to be found in this valley is that which you bring yourself"

"You think the Elves will give our quest their blessing?" Thorin's asked sarcastically "they will try to stop us"

"Of course they will" Gandalf replied "but we have questions that need to be answered. If we are to be successful, this will need to be handled with tact and respect and no small degree of charm. Which is why you will leave the talking to Ryneela and I"

The Company walks across a bridge and enters Rivendell, a small smile forming on Ryneela's lips as she looked around, seeing that absolutely nothing had changed since she had last been there. Bilbo gazes in awe at the beauty of the place, the dwarves, however, look uneasy, especially as a dark-haired elf walks down a flight of stairs and greets them,

"Mithrandir" he said

"Ah, Lindir!" Gandalf said with a smile

As Lindir and Gandalf greet each other, the dwarves murmur amongst themselves in distrust,

"Stay sharp" Thorin whispered to Dwalin

"Lastannem i athrannedh i Vruinen" Lindir said
We heard you had crossed into the Valley

"I must speak with Lord Elrond" Gandalf said

"My lord Elrond is not here" Lindir replied

"Not here?" He asked "where is he?”

Suddenly, the Elvish horns from earlier are heard again, causing the Company to turn around, seeing a group of armed horsemen approaching along the bridge at a rapid rate,

"Ifridî bekâr!" Thorin's ordered "hold ranks!"
Ready weapons

The dwarves bunch up together into a tight circle with their weapons pointed outward, the mounted Elves arrive and ride in circles around the dwarves, but they eventually stop, and one elf, Elrond, separates himself from the others,

"Gandalf" Elrond greeted,

"Lord Elrond" Gandalf replied, bowing gracefully "Mellonnen! Mo evínedh?"
My friend! Where have you been?

"Farannem ‘lamhoth i udul o charad. Dagannem rim na Iant Vedui" Elrond replied
We’ve been hunting a pack of Orcs that came up from the South. We slew a number near the Hidden Pass
