The long day of filming was now over, and Sebastian and Veronica were headed to the trailers. Their costumes were still one-hundred percent in tact. Sebastian wore the signature metal arm, along with a burgundy shirt and jeans. Veronica was still in Cecilia Rivera mode, wearing a cropped black leather jacket, and skinny black leggings. Her hair was still curled, and her lips had been painted a shade of bright red.
They walked close together, their bodies nearly touching, their hands occasionally tapping one another's. Every time it happened, they would look at each other with the same sparkly grin as they continued on.
As they reached the trailers, Veronica saw a figure peek out in the corner of her eye. She quickly turned, her gaze going to Sebastian's ex. Rosemary stood in the distance, but she seemed to be getting closer to them.
Veronica's blood began to boil once Rosemary came into her view. Only a mere few hours prior, Sebastian told her about his romance with Rosemary. She had no idea they had so many problems during their time together, but it made Veronica nearly sick to her stomach when she heard about the cheating scandal, and the accusations Rosemary put on Sebastian.
A small part of Veronica wanted to leave Rosemary alone, and forget about her completely. But the other, pettier part of her, wanted to make Rosemary jealous of Veronica, because she had let go of the most wonderful person so carelessly.
Without hesitation, Veronica swerved in front of Sebastian, placing herself parallel to him. She looked up at him softly with glistening eyes.
"Kiss me," Veronica whispered softly. Sebastian looked down awkwardly, unsure of what he was supposed to do. He was tongue-tied, the words just wouldn't come out.
Veronica, however, did not hesitate. She stood on her tip-toes as she pulled Sebastian's face to hers, placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
Sebastian was taken aback for a moment, but slowly eased up, and began kissing her back as he moved his hands to her waist.
Veronica felt a surge of electricity flow through her body as his hands touched her bare skin, and although her original motive was to get under Rosemary's skin, she found herself enjoying the kiss more and more as it went on.
After a few moments, Veronica pulled away. Sebastian beamed like a proud child, and expected Veronica to do the same. Instead, he watched her focus travel behind him. He turned to find Rosemary storming off, her hands covering her face.
It took a minute for Sebastian to realize what had happened, but once he did, he felt his eyes burn as tears threatened to fall. He pushed past Veronica and began furiously walking away.
"Shit," Veronica muttered as she jogged to catch up to him. "Seb, wait!" He, however, continued on, as if she wasn't even there.
Once Veronica reached him, she once again moved in front of him, this time placing her hands on his shoulders.
"Get out of my way," Sebastian murmured angrily as he tried to pass Veronica again. She followed him where he went, stopping him from going any further.
"No! I'm not going anywhere." Sebastian let out a chuckle, not a lighthearted, happy one, but a low, growl-type chuckle.
"I can't believe I was stupid enough to believe you actually had feelings for me," Sebastian sarcastically droned. "Silly me I guess."
Veronica stood stunned in silence. She had no idea what to say, or how to react. Sebastian shook his head as he began storming off once again. Veronica snapped out of her trance, attempting to call Sebastian back.
"Sebastian, stop! Please!" Veronica pleaded as she sprinted towards him, flailing her arms around in a frenzy.
Sebastian whipped around, glaring at Veronica. "Why does this always happen to me?" Sebastian repeated the question once more, then chuckled the same deep chuckle as before. "I don't know how I convinced myself that this would be a good idea. Why I somehow thought something could happen between us. I thought you would be different than everyone else. Turns out you're just the same."
"Do NOT compare me to Rosemary," Veronica argued, her voice rising. "I'm nothing like her."
"You see, that's where you're wrong," Sebastian said, his voice cracking ever-so-slightly. Veronica could see small droplets falling down Sebastian's face, but he quickly wiped them away. He looked up, taking a deep breath. "I'm done with this bullshit right now. Talk to me again when you're done messing with my head."
Sebastian turned and left, passing Veronica's trailer and going into his own. He slammed the door shut, leaving Veronica alone. She stood still, her mouth gaping open, tears spilling down her face.
I wrote this at 2 a.m. and Idk if that was a smart idea or not🤷♀️
