Cerise looked at his brothers engaged in a loving relationship, he felt a stinging pain in his chest but ignored it.

He turned to his system, "Jing, what massacre?"

[System: Ten years ago, when the original was nine years old, the queen and king had just come back from their honeymoon. The queen had brought back many souvenirs but one of them was a particularly special item and a crucial part of this story. ]

Cerise: . . . Is it the magic mirror?

[System: Host guessed correctly, the magic mirror was able to tell the queen about all the beautiful people in the kingdom. Being the vain queen that she is, in a fit of rage she sent out soldiers to kill each and every one of them. However, her identity as royalty made the people too fearful and they could do nothing about it. Plus, they were loyal to the king. The original Bashful was still young and thankfully was not implicated.]

Cerise thought it over. Ten years ago, "Wasn't that also when the king became ill?"

[System: It seems she had poisoned him herself in order to have all the powers of royalty.]

Cerise: So that was her plan-

[Plot Task: Befriend the woodland creatures living in the cottage. +10 points each ]

Cerise: ??

[System: Quick! Host Bashful~ We must make new friends! Don't forget to wear gloves and a face mask to fight against the diseases! ]

Cerise blushed, "Don't call me that!"

[System: . . . It quite suits host. Teehee~ Jing isn't the one with weird dwarfy parents who likes to name their weird children weird names. Now quickly do as the Plot Task says! ]

Cerise grumbled underneath his breath, something within the lines of "bad-timing", "slavery", and "fat heinie". . .

He pouted, grabbed his magic chicken and ran to the living room to make "new friends".

. . .

A large, tall castle made of magnificent gray stone lay at the pinnacle of a large hill surrounded by lush ivy crawling up its walls. The blue sky shone with rays of sunlight shining down on the enormous green garden behind the castle.

Next to a well, there was a beautiful young girl obviously poorly mistreated as she wore rags and kneeled on the floor scrubbing the stone stairs.

She sang with a sweet voice like church bells as birds also sang along with her.

Though her face showed a hardworking expression, a faint sadness could be seen in her eyes. With her flowing black hair, red lips, and white skin, it made a pitiful yet moving scene.

But lets move on to the more important stuff. Entering the castle, through long hallways, through a secret door behind an enormous family painting, down cold stairs, pass a dungeon, into a dark room filled with mirrors.

Mirrors of every kind were placed on every inch of one wall creating a magnificent and narcissistic theme. But at the very center was a particularly large mirror that seemed to stand out from the rest.
