Ashton:

"No, not that one," you say, shaking your head and pointing at the picture on your best friend Ashton's phone. "You're ridiculous," Ashton chuckles, sliding to the next picture of the two of you. "Not that one, either," you say immediately. "Why?" Ashton groans, laughing all the same. "I look horrible!" You say as if it were obvious. "You do not!" Ashton says in disbelief, scrolling to the next picture anyway. "How about this one? Never mind, I'm using this one," he tells you, not waiting for your approval. "Wait, let me see!" you say quickly, reaching for the phone. "Don't worry. It's good," he confirms. "I need to see!" you tell him. "Relax, you look beautiful," he says seriously. "I - I do?" you ask, unsure. "Of course," Ashton says simply, "You always look beautiful." "Oh," you say, unable to hide the smile forming on your face, "Thanks, Ash, that's sweet of you to say." "Well, it's true," he mumbles, his cheek reddening.

Luke:

You knock at your best friend, Luke's door and are grateful that he answers right away. "Y/n, what's wrong?" He asks immediately when he sees your distraught look and tear-stained cheeks. Instead of answering you step inside, allowing Luke to pull you into a hug. "We broke up," you cry into his chest as he rocks you back and forth slowly. "He ended it." "Oh, I'm so sorry," Luke murmurs, gently rubbing your back as you cry. You reply with a sniffle, having nothing to say. "He didn't deserve you, Y/n," Luke points out. You shake your head, knowing that Luke is just saying that. "I mean it," he insists, "You're way too good for him. You're smarter and funnier and nicer and way better looking." You sigh, shaking your head again. "You're beautiful, you know," he says quietly. You look up at him, thinking maybe you misheard him. "You are," he mumbles, his cheeks turning red, "And you don't need him." "Thanks, Luke," you say with a sad but grateful smile as you hug him tighter.

Calum:

You show up at the restaurant and check your hair and makeup one last time in your mirror before heading inside in search of the guy your friend set you up with. You look around and notice a boy who looks like the one your friend described and you approach cautiously. "Hi," he says as you make your way over. "Hi," you smile, "I'm Y/n." "Hi," he repeats. "Are you - are you Calum?" you ask nervously. "I - yeah, sorry," he stutters, "I'm Calum." "Hi, Calum," you laugh. "I'm sorry. You're just - you're really beautiful," he explains weakly. "Oh, thank you," you laugh, blushing, "You're not so bad yourself."

Michael:

"Are you ready to go?" your friend, Michael, calls through your bathroom door. "One second," you answer before finishing up your mascara. You open the door and step out, finding Michael waiting impatiently in your room. "Ready?" He asks again, looking up at you. You see his eyes scan your body before meeting your eyes and you blush. "Yeah," you mumble. "Thanks for coming with," he adds as the two of you head out to the car. "I wouldn't want my best friend to show up at the award show alone just because his ex was an idiot," you say with a shrug. He chuckles, nodding in agreement. "We'll show her that you're fine without her," you add with a grin. "That'd be great," Michael laughs, smiling at you. "You - you look beautiful by the way," he mumbles, blushing lightly. "Thanks, Mikey," you reply, blushing as well, "I have to if I'm gonna make anyone jealous." You shrug and Michael laughs. "You always look beautiful," he adds, rolling his eyes at your goal of making his ex regret breaking up with him.
