Arielle was a sweet angel to say the least. Her beauty was only one of the captivating attributes that drew you to her.

She was talented and well-in tune with her artistic side: designing clothes, painting breath-taking art works, and dabbled in a bit of interior designing.

Her independence and her capability of loving made everyone who met her love her at first sight. Yet, her willpower proved her mental and physical strengths.

Sebastian couldn't help but be in awe at the thought that the most beautiful woman—both inside and out, that was his and was sitting right next to him.

"Where are we going?" Arielle asked, playing with Sebastian's hand that rested on her thigh.

"Maggiano's." He replied, chuckling as he felt a jump and a squeal.

"Oh my god! We haven't been there in so long!" Arielle smiled, shaking with excitement.

"I know." Sebastian smiled sadly, knowing that it was his fault that this dinner date had been delayed.

He had always been cautious about letting Arielle outside, with his profession and all. But, she had been understanding, knowing when or when not to go outside for safety reasons.

Yet, Sebastian understood it was never going to be his place to keep her indoors likewise to some animal.

He never prohibited her to go outside, rarely having her followed by security when she did. At times when the need of a helping hand was needed to watch over Arielle, he was always upfront to her about it.

"Now, I can see that sad smile of yours. Please brighten up Seb, I know what you're thinking about. It isn't your fault." Arielle told him, interlocking their hands.

He kept a stoic face now and stayed quiet.

How could someone know and read him so well?

At times like this, he hated being vulnerable. He couldn't help though, but be happy that she was the only person who could see through him like this.

Sebastian wholeheartedly trusted her—even with his life.

"I know. I just—you deserve so much more. Yet, you choose to be with—" Sebastian voiced our, his face remaining expressionless.

"Yes, I chose to be with you. I did, not you, but me." Arielle reassured him, pulling their locked hands up for a kiss.

"How was I so lucky?" He finally cracked, a grin spreading.

Arielle rolled her eyes, she couldn't believe the man next to her would've ever existed.

The two made their way up to their table, that rested alone at the top of the building.

It was the same table they had their first 'date' at, a breathtaking view of the city of New York.

Maybe that was why the place held a significant hold on their heart.

The tables located on the second to last floor were filled with men of higher up positions.

Most were with their wives or simply enjoying a dinner with a client of sorts, but all turned to look as Sebastian Daniels walked through with a lady in black on his arms.

Men couldn't help but stare, the beauty and confidence she brought to the room had their jaws slacked and gaping.

The wives and women present seethed in jealousy, scoffing and leaving rude not-so-subtle remarks.

"His new flavor of the week is pretty, I guess."

"What a whore, seems she likes the money he's spending on her."

Sebastian tensed but continued walking, not letting out a deep sigh until the elevator doors closed.

Regardless, Arielle kept a smile on her face yet her smile faltered for a moment.

"Are you okay?" Sebastian asked, not looking at Arielle.

"Yea, I'm fine. I'm used to it." She smiled again, this time a little more forced.

Sebastian lowered his arm and grabbed her hand and sighed once more.

He hated that she was 'used to it'.

She shouldn't be, it wasn't right.

It wasn't a lie though. Everywhere Arielle went with Sebastian, many assumed that she was just arm candy, another notch on his belt.

She knew it was a safety measure—something Sebastian did to make sure Arielle was safe.

Arielle trusted Sebastian to stay faithful. Every couple of weeks, he would bring a new girl out to dinner—earning his reputation as a powerful man who slept around.

"Let's eat." Arielle smiled, hoping to ease the tension.

Sebastian nodded and checked his phone, making sure the security cameras were off and that his men were stationed around the building.

Only then, would he feel comfortable to eat.

The two sat and looked at the view, the table itself was positioned in the middle of the circular floor. That way, microscopes and cameras would at most see their blurry figures.

After ordering, the two sat in silence.

"What's wrong Seb?" Arielle asked, his tense demeanor worrying her.

"I'm just worried about you Ari." He replied honestly, knowing she would want nothing but the truth.

He paused for a moment before deciding to continue, "These days you're coming up in my business conversations. Someone's beginning to take notice of you and report it to others."

Arielle couldn't help but see this coming. It was something she had accepted long ago when moving in with Sebastian and being the first to earn his trust.

"Well, if I go out I'll take a couple men with me." She reassured him, "Won't that be better?"

"I suppose for a while." Sebastian agreed, feeling guilty for making her give up her freedom. "It's only a matter of time though before it's me who has to be near you at all times. They aren't scared of my men as much as they are of me."

Arielle nodded and before smiling, "Lighten up, the food is ready. If today's date is a success, I have a surprise for you when we get home."

Sebastian's eyes darkened at the seductive voice of his little minx.

"We'll see."
