Wake Up Call

Chapter 9

"Mommy I don't feel so good" Rosie came into my room. I was so tired but I looked at my clock and it was 2am

"What's wrong baby?" I asked half awake. I walked up to her and she was breaking out in cold sweat and breathing heavily soon after that she fell onto my lap. At this time in fully awake and terrified

"Rosie? Rosie Baby wake up!" She's been sick for a week now and she's still not better. I grabbed her stuff along with my keys phone and purse.

I carried Rosie to the car and buckled her up. I'm freaking out now I called Tyler he answered after couple rings

"Hello?"

"Tyler!"

"Lina what the hell it's 2am what is it?"

"I'm going to the hospital Rosie fainted and is breaking out in cold sweat and breathing heavily" I heard him getting out of bed

"What! hang on I'm coming meet you there" he hung up and I was already in tears usually Rosie gets sick and it's nothing I can't handle but something feels like I did something wrong this time.

I arrived in the ER in no time I was carrying Rosie. I walked up to the front desk

"Hi can you help me?"

"Sure what seems to be the problem?" the male nurse asked

"My daughter came and woke me up and said that she wasn't feeling well next thing I knew she fainted"

"Okay ma'am calm down let me take her I'm going to go check on her so just wait here okay"

Okay thank you!" I was freaking out right now.

I was pacing in the waiting room and then Tyler and Jake both arrived

"Where is she! is she okay? What happened?" all questions from Jake guess he was in a hurry he wore a sweatshirt sweats and his hair was messy

Before I could answer the doctor came in.

"The parent or guardian or Rosie Samuels?"

"Yeah I'm her mother, what's wrong?"

"She's fine but she is starting to get the pneumonia and hand,mouth disease we have some medication for that, but i'd like to keep her over night just in case"

We all let out a sigh of relief thank god she's okay.

"Sorry I woke you guys up I'm gonna stay here tonight"

"I'm gonna stay too!" said Jake

"No Jake we have school tomorrow" I said but he's stubborn

"I can come and pick him up in the morning if that's what he wants"

He didn't say anything he just went and sat in the chair next to Rosie's bed and turned on the tv and started watching. I smiled to myself thinking Jake is as close to be a brother to Rosie he really did love her like a little sister.

" So are you not going to be in school?"

"No my daughters health is more important and if I missed anything you can always keep me updated"

"Will you be okay by yourself?"

"Yeah I think I can manage and besides I have Jake to keep me company"

He was thinking but finally agreed

"Okay get some sleep okay" I nodded he looked over to Jake who was looking at Rosie as if she was the most fascinating human being on earth.
