Day 34
Jodie swung her backpack over her shoulder and went in the general direction of her next class, but a strong hand pushed her into the wall
"Well if it isn't the Little Luthor, How is your uncle going is he killing some Aliens" A girl with blonde hair mocked
"I don't know I have yet to meet him" Jodie shrugged, mostly unbothered by the comment
The blonde pushed the brunette into the wall once again "Maybe you'll become a psychopath like him"
"Why don't you do something that's important, and actually uses brain cells"
"Fine, see ya round psychopath" The mean girl walked away
"Fuck you" Jodie cursed as she walked away
Day 69
Jodie lay in her bed staring at the ceiling, she knew her mind was slowly turning darker and darker, but she couldn't do anything about it, it was in her blood as many people had told her
Over and over again
She was a Luthor after all, her mother turned out fine because of her other Mom.
But she didn't have anyone to hold her stable, so she let her mind self destruct, her emotions were ripped from her, to the point she barely felt anything.
Jodie wanted to feel emotion, she wanted to remember how laugh, how to smile, how to cry and not fake it
Day 107
Jodie finally finished her mask, it was black and covered her face completely and thanks to some Technology it messed up her voice to sound darker, she also created a full body tight suit that could protect her from blows, it had a hood which covered her brown hair.
Day 203
She held her trusted handgun to the mans head "Why did you get in my way" She hissed
"Because you were torturing that woman"
"I was having fun why would you stop me" The brunette was about to cross a line, she barely flinched as she pulled the trigger, the mans body dropped, she turned back to her 'plaything'
"Now where were we"
Today-Day 456 (end of flashback)
Kara flew into the building were her family was being held, her blue eyes looked at the three chambers
A prerecorded message played over a hidden speaker "Welcome Supergirl, let's play a game shall we, if you save one the others will be gassed, and dead within seconds, if you don't save one in the next 15 minutes they all die, so what's your choice" Artemis explained
Lena slammed the glass "Save Jodie, she needs a hospital"
"Kara listen to your wife" Alex hissed
"I can't...I can't choose" the kryptonian was torn "Artemis wherever you are I will kill you"
An unfamiliar feeling filled Jodie, tears stung her eyes, her hand shakily wiped away the unfamiliar liquid "I'm crying...I'm crying..I'm feeling something" she muttered to herself
Lena turned to her daughter "Jodie sweetie, your mom is going to save you, but I won't make and it's ok"
"No you are, you're all going to make it" Jodie got up and wiped the blood away "Artemis let something slip when she captured me" She threw a punch at the glass, it crack, she continued to punch until it shattered
Kara sprinted and broke Lena's chamber and Jodie saved Alex
"There wasn't any gas, it was all a ruse..." Jodie's voice trailed off, tears spilled from her eyes "It was my ruse..to hurt you"
Lena hugged her daughter "What are you talking about Jodie"
The young adult pulled away "I have made a huge mistake....oh what did I do"
Kara tried to confort her daughter but she was too confused "Buttercup whatever it is I'm sure we can figure it out"
"No that's the thing what I did..I did without emotion, without feeling. Without even considering the consequences"
"Look if you want-" Lena started but she was cut off
"No mom, don't you get it I built this trap. I planted that bomb the other day, I tortured those people and killed them. I'M ARTEMIS"
Kara chocked on air, she refused to believe the words her daughter just yelled at her
"I just wanted to feel again, those girls put me through hell and I couldn't feel anymore, so I tried to feel emotions again, everything I tried failed until this"
Lena was crying "Jodie take this slowly. What happened?"
"Well everyone at school called me a psychopath and told me I would become uncle lex, And it got to the point I forgot what emotion was, so I became Artemis, and every I put the mask on I felt something, I didn't know what it was but it was something and now I know it was gilt and i just fucked up really bad"
"Look we can fix this" Kara was also crying
"No mom we can, the only way for this to end is for me to die, and you both know it, who knows what I'll do if I forget how to feel again" Jodie held her handgun to her head
"No. Stop please we can fix this" Lena begged her daughter
"Moms don't blame yourself for this, this is my choice I'm doing it for the greater good, Aunt Alex take care of them, I love you all" She pulled the trigger
A terrifying scream came from the mothers as they watched their only daughter drop dead, Kara and Lena cradled the body as they sobbed
"I...i can..fix this...Lena I can go back in time and fix this all...I can.." The Alien tried to think of something
Lena continued to cry "Kara...I- Why did i see this"
