"Wait, so you actually said dad I'm home before you killed him in front of your mother?"
Kai laughed while shoving a pork rind into his mouth.

"Damn right I did"
I grinned and knocked back a shot of whiskey.

"Gotta respect that creativity"
He smirked.

"Well, I had the best mentor"
I smiled and rested back against the couch.

"Oh? There's even more to the little murder mystery sitting in front of me?"
He smirked before eating another pork rind.

I smiled and winked at him.

"Oooo now I just HAVE to know!"

"Well, the important parts of my life are for me to know and you to never find out."
I grinned.

He sulked and pouted at me like a child.
"You wound me Sylvia."

I smiled and knocked back another shot.
"Well these last few hours have been so fun, but I really need to go for a run."
I stood up and stretched and started heading for the door.

"A run? Who goes for a run these days?"
Kai pulled a confused face before getting up and following me.

I started laughing.

"What's so funny?"
He folded his arms and rested against the door frame, watching me leave the house.
"I do enjoy the view though."
I could just tell he was smirking.

"Oh, I bet you do."
I chuckled and stood on the grass, kicking my shoes off.

"Well at least you're not trying to run in he- what are you doing?"
He stopped mid-sentence and it sounded like he nearly choked on a pork rind as I started to strip, I meant run as in a shift.

"You have eyes, what does it look like?"

"Do people these days always strip naked when running?"

"They do if they need to break every bone in their body"
I smiled to myself and started initiating the change.

"Ooo, that looks like it hurts"

"Ya think?"
I growled as I began to change.

"Although, if you do this often it's going to make my time stuck in here quite interesting."

"Well,"
I groaned, the main part of the change almost hitting.
"Don't be getting,"
I groaned again.
"Any funny ideas."

I could feel all my bones crack and break and shift.

"But funny ideas are the best ones!"
Judging by that tone, he was pouting.

The change stopped and I let out a sigh of happiness.

"Wow, you look very fluffy"

I rolled my eyes and turned around to face him.

"Oh, nuh uh no way."
He shook his head and started stepping back.

I shook my head and put it down as though I was laughing, maybe sighing.

I quickly turned around and took off into the woods.

...

I got back to the house, it was daytime.

I changed back and stretched. As I looked on the porch my clothes had been moved there.
Just moved and dropped in a pile.

I sighed with a slight chuckle and got dressed.

Just as I dressed, the door opened.

"Aw, the good view is gone."
I turned around to see Kai smirking.

I put my hand on my chest and feigned insult.
"You wound me Kai, am I not a good enough sight on my own?"

Kai laughed.
"You make a good argument."
He pursed his lips and thought for a moment.
"You've been out for a few days, dinner's on the table."
He smiled before heading in.

Huh. That felt weird.

I shook my weird... feeling... away and followed Kai into the house.

....

I've spent a few months in this prison world for now, maybe close to a year?

But each day had been fun, even though the weather was repeating itself. It made me glad to be a Hybrid, I loved changing but being forced to change every single day? That wouldn't be fun at all.

For someone called an abomination by his parents, which was totally relatable, Kai didn't seem all that bad. And I grew up with the Mikaelsons, I know bad.

He enjoyed having company. Well, after being stranded for years on your own you're bound to.

He hasn't tried to kill me, and we made each day fun.

I was laying on the grass in the sun, just enjoying a quiet day, when suddenly I heard,
"SURPRISE!"
And from one of the top windows of his house, Kai had dropped a water balloon straight on my head.

I laughed and grabbed the hose, spraying it straight up to his window while laughing.
"You just declared war, Mr Parker!"
