Chapter 56 [Ae/Pete] - Can We Just Be Friends?

In case that you don't know yet, the reason why I started translating from chapter 51 was because from chapter 51, Ae/Pete plot will be completely new to viewers of the series. I'm sure that you all are eager to read their story just as much as I do... so... 

Here's the recap of some chapters that I won't translate:

48 + 49 - Ae's birthday

50 - Tin and Can went to the open market

52 - Extended version of part 14-1 of the series. Can went to Tin's house to watch the movie and they kissed.

55 - Extended version of the first half of part 14-4 of the series. Lemon saw Pete and Tin together. She told Can about that event. Can got jealous and called Tin to ask for clarification. Tul knew about the existence of Can from Phupha.

Pete appeared and was mentioned in this chapter as well. I was hesitating whether I should translate his part or not, but in the end decided not to do it. I want to focus on Ae/Pete and probably gonna go back to translate Pete's part later if I have time. After all, I still love Pete and Ae as individuals very much.

I translated the first part of Can's POV in this chapter because Ae/Pete was also in that part. I really don't want to miss any Ae/Pete's appearances.

CAN'S POV

It's been a week since the new semester started, but I still don't dare to see Tin, because the last time I called him, he said that I got jealous because of him. Although I try not to think about it anymore, it's still always there in my mind. I couldn't help but come to see Pete. 

I don't really need to ask Tin, I can always ask Pete.

"Pete, what is the relationship between you and Tin?"

"Friend."

My question maybe a little bit too sudden. But it is supposed to be answered by the young master. I do not expect Ae would be the one who answered it first. His answer is short and firm. I turn to look at him and cannot help but laugh out loud.

Ae, are you being jealous? Hahahaha, it's so fun to see him like that, he looks really pitiful!!!

I smile and and then turn around to look at Pete with a serious look on my face. He looks at me and smiles, which make me think that there maybe some rice that I ate for breakfast stuck on my forehead. I reach out my hand and touch my forehead. There's really nothing on my forehead. At this time, Pete asks.

"Why do you ask me this, Can?"

I don't know if it's just my imagination but the way Pete looks at me is kinda strange, Err... but I have already told him that his friend was pursuing me, so it's not really strange if he knows more than Ae. I sigh deeply and tell him my sister's thought on them. Pete smiles and says.

"Lay told you that Tin and I were boyfriends?"

 "So are you or are you not?"

I'm curiously ask him. This matter has made me unable to eat or sleep. I feel kinda weird in my heart. He still has the same smile on his face and continue looking at me until I start to get a little angry, he then answers me.

"No... Tin and I are only friends. That day, I was just teasing Tin because of how eager he was wanting to win over your family's favor."

"Okay! I finally get it, I thought that he still refused to let go of you. I even wondered if that bastard Tin was being unfaithful, one day he bothers a person, another day, he chases after another one. I am very angry when I think about it. Fortunately, I come to ask you, I feel so relieved now."
