🌼margot's pov🌼

"Love me," Jack whines.

I playfully roll my eyes. "I really have to work, babe."

He puts on a fake pout and crosses his arms over his chest. "Why don't you love me?"

"I do, but I have to get this work done."

"Take a break. For me?"

I laugh at his childlessness, "You're acting like a little kid."

He groans and leans his head on my shoulder. Zach walks from the back area with the bunks.

"What's going on?"

"Jack's annoying me, can you please get him away from me," I say acting like our close proximity is completely normal.

"Yeah, want to go eat, Jack?" he says still a little confused by the way Jack and I were sitting.

"I guess," Jack huffs as he stands up from the booth we were in.

"Have fun!"

Jack blows me a kiss as they leave, making sure Zach doesn't see.

"So what was going on between you and Margot?" Zach asks as we slide into a booth and look over our menus.

"What do you mean?" I ask, pretending to be oblivious to the fact that he saw me and Margot very close.

"You know what I mean. I saw you leaning on her."

"What? We're friends."

"Are you sure?" he asks, quirking an eyebrow.

"What are you implying, Zach?"

"I don't know, are you sure you can be friends?"

"Of course we can. I know we're exes and all, but we can be friends."

"I just don't want you to get excited or anything. I know you still like her a lot and what if you want to start something again but she doesn't feel the same way."

"I'm not worried about that, but thanks for watching out for me."

"Just be careful, I wouldn't want you or Margot to get hurt."

"It'll all be fine."
