It was 9.04pm, and i got off the bus stop across the street from my mums house. I carried my things in my rucksack, and i fiddled in my pocket, trying to find my keys as i approach the house.
As i pull out my keys, walking onto the drive way, i was surprised to see Leo, sitting on the step outside his front door, listening to music whilst on his phone.
He looked up at me, with a soft smile, taking out his earplugs,

"What are you doing out here?" I ask, as i crouch down next to him. He shuffles along the step, and i sit down next to him.

Leo takes a deep sigh, staring into my eyes.
"Parents kicked me out." He mumbled, kicking a stone with his foot.
Anger filled me, and i immediately stood up.

"Leo this is not okay. They can't do this to you." I whisper shout, trying not to be too loud.
He doesn' t say anything, accept places his head in his hands.

"Leo." I say frustratedly, pacing back and forth.
He slowly looks up at me, running his hands through his hair.

"What happened?" I say, as i lean against the wall, dropping my rucksack on the ground.

Leo folds his arms and leans his head against the wall. His jawline clenches, and i can't help but daydream.

"My dad got drunk, started an argument. Isaac started crying, and they kicked me out for scaring him." He eventually says.

"How can they kick their own son out the house? Jesus fucking christ." I say, picking a leaf from the nearby bush and ripping it into shreds, watching it fall slowly onto the ground.

"They will let me back in, eventually." Leo says, looking up to the door. He seemed so used to it that he didn't even care.

I picked up my bag from the floor, and grabbed his hand. He looked up at me with a confused look.

"Your coming into my house." I say, pulling him up.

"Lucy just leave it." He says, trying to stop me as i pull out my keys to unlock the door.

"No. I'm not letting you being treated like shit.
Not again." I say, staring deep into his eyes. He stares into mine, and sighs.

"What about your Mum?" He says, rubbing his neck awkwardly.

"Who cares, shes probably on her second bottle of Pino Gregio." I say, as i unlock the door and push it open.
I hold onto Leos hand, carefully shutting the door behind me and guiding him into the house, taking him to my room.
"Shhh." I whisper to him, as we slowly make our way up the stairs.

When we get to the door of my room, i carefully twist the knob and enter the room, locking it behind me.
