Billie's P.O.V.

"I honestly don't understand why you are still talking to him Billie. You've made it clear that he's a fuckboy that you can't stand, but here you are still texting him and letting him call you gross pet names." Lana said in frustration. I understood where she was coming from, because I was frustrated too.
It was just a different type of frustration. I was frustrated at the fact that Theo was a completely different person when we texted, but in person he was one of the nastiest people that I have met. I knew he was a nasty person, but I couldn't let go of him and I had no clue why.
"It's complicated." I said in defense. Was it really complicated?? Or was I embarrassed to tell her that I actually had developed a teeny tiny crush on Theo Smith. It was so cliche to say and made me want to roll my eyes at how this was a bad plot for a Netflix rom-com.
"Explain. If it's so complicated." Lana said bluntly. She was definitely not going to let this go.
"I thought you said you were okay with this."
"I mean it's your life, but he's an asshole at this point I'm repeating myself, but you also trust people way too easily. I don't want this to to blow up in your face." Lana has no problem speaking the truth and I loved that, but right now it was just making me more frustrated at myself for talking to Theo.
"Ugh. Can we just not talk about it anymore?? I'd much rather talk about where we are going to eat."
"I'm feeling Chick-Fil-A right now." Lana said dropping the topic. "I'll even pay for making little Billie frustrated." Lana got off the couch that we had been lounging in for the past hour since I had gotten off of work.
"You know the way to my heart. Free chicken." I laughed as I got up and followed her out to the garage.
"Isn't that anyway to a girl's heart?"
"Not vegans." I pointed out.
