dazed.

that's how jisung would describe minho these past few days. he even heard from classmates that he's had his head in the clouds during all his classes.

whether he was happily daydreaming or just in a gloomy mood, no one could tell.

jisung assumed it was the second of those choices. the news of kangmin and minho's breakup spread through both campuses fairly quickly, especially considering it was university.

but kangmin and minho had always been that ship. the one where you always ask someone beside you, you sure they aren't dating yet?

in fact the whole neighborhood knew. the two boys were very close, and once they had began dating it was no surprise. what really surprised people was the fact that they broke up so quickly.

"you know what they say, perfect matches always burst into flames," chan said, stuffing strawberries into his mouth.

"but it was so random! i mean, i finally get over the dude and here he is; free again," jisung sighed.

"that is pretty unfortunate," changbin commented, giving the younger boy a look of sympathy.

"yeah it's whatever," he replied, looking up from his food. "how are things with felix?"

changbin's head jolted up at the mention of the younger boy.

"good," he chirped. "i think,"

chan and jisung glanced at each other, but took changbin's glued stare at his food as a signal not to butt in. changbin was a pretty private person when it came to his thoughts, so they silently agreed it was best to just leave him be.

changbin however, decided to try and break the silence.

"so jisung, you really just gonna drop minho like that?"

jisung stared at changbin, really putting thought into his question. the main reaosn jisung had given up on minho was because of how much he loved his boyfriend. or at least how much he thought he loved him. but now the older boy is single, and jisung's mind is all over the place.

"it's for the better," jisung sighed, picking up a piece of food with his chopsticks-- the doraemon ones he'd taken from home when he first moved. "it's not like he'd ever like me back anyways,"

"props to you, bud," chan said, patting his friend on the back. jisung had always been the emotional type. in fact throughout their years of friendship, jisung had been notorious for becoming emotionally attached to everything.

jisung looked up to give a smile to chan. but he couldn't help but catch his roommate standing not too far from their table, talking to felix of course.

he wasn't lying when he said he'd tried to disregard his crush on minho. and to be quite honest, the elimination of his previous feelings was finally starting to take place. but he couldn't help but admit the boy was god damn beautiful.

but felix was the one who caught the eyes of jisung, the boy's face turning to his signature sunshine smile as he waved dramatically.

jisung giggled and waved back to the boy, who immediately began jogging to the three boys' table, minho trailing not too far behind.

"hey guys!" felix smiled, changbin internally going crazy over the action.

the boys greeted the newcomers, making small talk as they continued to eat their food.

minho hardly contrinbuted to the conversation. his eyes were glued to jisung, the younger boy being to oblivious to notice, of course.

he took note of everything about jisung. his heart smile, his imperfect teeth (despite having braces, as he was told before. he probably refused to wear his retainer. the thought made minho giggle), and the way he laughs with his entire body.

minho smiled to himself.

the boys were deep in conversation, felix babbling on like he normally does. he had told him this story just previously, giving minho another reason to return to daydreaming about jisung.

he just wanted to-

jisung's phone screen lit up as he got an incoming call.

jeonginnie <3 !

oh right. minho had forgot about him.

jisung excused himself from the table to pick up the call. minho took note of the sudden happiness overcoming the boy as he picked up.

but kangmin admitted to lying right? but why the heart? what was his own contact name in jisung's phone?

minho watched jisung laugh from the table. the light, happy feeling in his heart disappeared.

why?

his heart filled with a nasty feeling, and he hated it. was he jealous? but why? he has no right to feel this way with jisung. whatever his feelings with jisung were, minho was sure they weren't romantic. he had convinced himself it was a pure protect-my-little-sibling type of relationship. but why was he feeling this way?

it hurt to see jisung laugh because of another boy. he wanted it to be him.
