After leaving the Nightwing Island prison behind, Rainkeeper and the small group of dragonets were confronted by a terrifying sight.

An infuriated looking Apple and Orange, accompanied by a slightly scared looking Ember and Shore.

"Shit," Rainkeeper swore under his breath.

"MOMMY!" Mako screeched, barreling over to Orange. "WE SAW BAD GUYS! AND ONE OF THEM TRIED TO HURT WISTY! BUT I THREW A ROCK AT HIM!" The little dragonet seemed very proud of himself. Rainkeeper backed up as Orange and Apple's scales went red.

"You took dragonets to the NIGHTWING ISLAND PRISON?!" Orange snapped.

"Yes?" It seemed quite scary how Orange could put nearly as much terror as Joy or Glory into a dragon if she tried. Shore wasn't even the one being yelled at, and he was already cowering.

"You took Prism," Apple started. "My ONLY dragonet into A DEN FULL OF LAVA AND MURDERERS?!?!" Pear's resemblance was strong in Apple, and while Rainkeeper knew he shouldn't be afraid of his own daughter, he was definitely afraid of Pear when she was mad, and he did not like the similarity between the two.

"They were perfectly safe," Rainkeeper said.

"Mako just said somebody tried to hurt Wisteria!"

"That was an exaggeration. He nearly fell in lava once, yes, but they're all fine! Isn't that what matters?"

"He WHAT?" Orange snapped, and the dragonets dove for cover.

"MAYBE, NEXT TIME," Apple yelled. "You could ASK because taking my daughter into life threatening situations! IS that SO MUCH TO ASK?!" Ember, clearly the most daring of the bunch, reached out and laid a hand on Apple's shoulder, calming her down slightly. The red in her scales dulled and she glared at Rainkeeper before turning.

"Come along, Prism, time to go home." Ember insisted. Prism scampered out of hiding and followed her parents with wide eyes.

"Empllllllleeeee," Wisteria whispered, and Rosella fought the urge to high five her.

"What's an Emple?" Mako asked curiously. "Is it a fruit?"

"No, it's a boat."

"What's a boat?"

"....I don't know. The scavengies make 'em."

"I've never seen a scavengie."

"Me neither."

"Mommy says they're like monkeys with less fur."

"Uncle Qibli says they shoot fire at dragon who get too close. Uncle Winter studies them. He has a pet scavengie."

"You can have scavengies as PETS?"

"Yep."

"Mommy!" Mako piped up, and everyone cowered further, because Orange was still pissed off. "Why don't we have a pet scavengie?" The fury faded from Orange's scales. IT was near impossible to stay mad around someone like Mako, who was too innocent for his own good.

"Because they escape too easily." Orange offered. Rainkeeper took the opportunity while she was distracted and bolted away. Orange scowled at his departure and rolled her eyes.

"Go home," She instructed the dragonets. Pax immediately flew off. Aurora grabbed Wisteria and the ran away, leaving Rosella and Mako alone with their parents.

"Who did you see in the prison anyways?" Shore asked curiously.

"Pineapple," Rosella said. "And she's still very mad."

"Makes sense," Shore insisted. "She's been mad since day one."

"She's a meanie with a funny name." Mako went on. "Pineapple. Pine appall. Pine Napple." He giggled. "It's funny." They stared.

"Only Mako could turn a psychopath like Pineapple into something worth laughing over," Shore declared.
