Melody's addiction had just gotten worse, she would keep replaying Max's words in her head every day. It's almost been a year since she's last seen Ronnie and he's still on her mind every day. She wishes she wouldn't have aborted her baby, every day she regrets telling and listening to Ronnie. She could have just kept it, she would have been without him either way. Melody didn't have a job so the only way she could pay for her drugs was with sex. It was the lowest thing she has ever done, and she knows she's going to have consequences one day. Melody was a depressed ball of drugged up bitterness. She just recently found out her parents are in the middle of a divorce and she can't help but blame herself.
"Melody, someone named Veronica is here for you." Her mom said from the door way of her bed room. "Send her up." Melody said in a scratchy voice. "I told you he was trouble." Melody sat up and looked at Veronica who was shutting Melody's door. "Veronica, I don't even care." Veronica looked at Melody, "Don't even try to lie, you do care. Your life is ruined because of him. You know he tried to get me to kill my baby too, but i did the smart thing and gave it to someone. Someone who wasn't able to have children." Melody sighed, "You think i wanted to abort my child? Do you honestly think I wanted that? Fuck, you're the one who told me to do it first! Not Ronnie!" Melody yelled. "Melody you turned to me for advice and i gave it to you and you obviously didn't listen. I told you, I fucking told you he was trouble." she yelled her words getting lower towards the end. "Why did you come here?" Melody asked harshly. "To give you the two months worth of homework you missed. You're fucking failing." Veronica said throwing a packet of work on the bed. "Oh and to tell your parents about your little addiction. You need help." Melody jumped out of her bed and pushed Veronica to the wall. "If you say one word about it to them i will make you fucking regret it." She whispered harshly. "What are you gonna do? Kill me, like your boyfriend killed that kid?" Melody got closer to Veronica's face, "He.Didn't.Kill.Anyone." she said pausing between every word. Veronica laughed, "Yeah okay." Melody released Veronica from the wall. "I'm not going to tell your parents, not because i'm afraid, but because I know they'll find out soon enough on their own. Goodbye Melody." She said before leaving the room. Melody stood in the middle of her room confused and in shock, she didn't even know who she was anymore. She had completely lost her self.
"What do you mean you're cutting me off? I just fucked you, give me the shit." Melody said getting angry. Her dealer laughed, "You're the Radke kids girl. Well was his girl, If you think I or anyone will sell to you, then you're wrong.Sex is nice though, you can come back for that anytime." He winked. Melody slapped him, hard. "You bitch! Get the fuck out!" He yelled at her, she smirked and reached under the bed for the two little baggies of heroin she came for. She stood up showed them too him and ran out of the house, stuffing the baggies in her pocket in the process. She knew this would get her in deep shit, but she needed her fix, and the amount she took should last her a few days. When she got inside her house she went straight to her room, to find her mom sitting on her bed looking angry. "Mom?" She questioned. "What is this?" her mom asked pointing to a joint, syringe, and spoon. Melody nervously laughed, "I don't know." She answered. "Melody Elizabeth Summers have you been doing drugs?" Her mom raised her voice a little. Melody looked at her mom and lied threw her teeth, "No, those are Veronica's." Her mom stared at her studying her face looking for any signs of lying. Luckily Melody was good at hiding lies, "Good, dinner will be in an hour. Are you going to be eating then?" Her mom asked gathering the materials on Melody's bed. "Nah I actually just stopped and ate on my way home." Her mom nodded and left the room, leaving Melody to her self.
Melody walked into her bathroom and got her spare syringe and spoon. She sat on the floor pulling out her lighter and heroin, she put the heroin in the spoon and started melting it down so she could inject it. Once it was ready she sucked it up into the needle and injected the poison into her veins. She sighed as the high instantly overcame her body, making her lean against the cold bathroom wall, her eyes became heavy she let them close for what felt like five minutes but ended up being twenty. She opened her eyes still being high, but it wasn't as strong. She cleaned up her mess and put it back in the hiding place. As Melody was about to walk out of her room she heard her mother scream and something break. She ran out of her room and down the steps.
"You! You're the one who stole from my boss!" A large man yelled before running towards Melody. "Melody what did you do!" Her mom screeched. She looked over at her mom who was being held back, "I had sex for drugs and when he wouldn't give them to me I stole them." Her moms eyes widened, "You said they weren't yours!" Melody laughed. "I lied." She said before running out of her house.
