Emma's POV
I decided to skip school today after last night being so chaotic. The anger I have inside me is nothing like I've ever felt before, I want Liam and Marcus dead. However, Sam is right. I have to think with my head not my heart because my heart tells me to go after them with every weapon I've got, but in my head I know that this isn't what Lily and Ben would want.

Amelia asked me to babysit the kids today and I happily said yes. These kids bring out the best in me. Unfortunately, Sam and I put off our date due to what happened and we are going to focus on our friends health right now.

Sam went to school, so I have the house to myself which I'm not complaining about because I have a kitchen knife under my pillow and a baseball bat under my bed if anyone decides to break in and try to kill me.

Sam's POV
I decided to do the thing that I really didn't want to do. Instead of going to school I went to see Kat. I need to know the truth.

"Ah little brother, didn't think I would see you around here any time soon." She said with a smug look on her face. I put my hands on the table and glared at her. "I want the truth."

"Wow. Getting straight to business aren't we?" She said with an evil chuckle, I took a couple of deep breaths to contain my anger. Now I understand why Emma punches things so often.

"I'm serious Kat. Did you do it? Did you set Liam and Marcus up?" She looks at me with confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"Lily and Ben were in a car crash. The police say that there was something wrong with the steering wheel and the breaks. You knew that Emma gets in that car frequently, did you set them up to kill her?!" I snap, she shakes her head.

"Trust me little brother, if I tried to kill them I'd own up to it. But I love Lily and Ben, and I wouldn't do anything to hurt them. However, given recent events, I can see why Liam has some frustration. I'll take care of it." I give her a questioning look. "What are you going to do?"

"Don't worry about it. But I promise that you'll be safe."

"What about Emma? Leave me and my friends alone." I demand, she chuckles. "Emma and I still have some unfinished business. But that will be over within a matter of time, you'll see." I glare at her and slam my hands on the table, making the security guard keep an eye on us.

"You listen here and you listen good Kat. Leave my friends alone, whatever you have with Emma is done-"

"You can't make me do that-"

"Sure I can. After all, you claim you love me and want me to be happy so I'll be happy both ways. Either you leave us all alone or I stand behind Emma and fight." Her look went from smug to worried as she shook her head. "No you can't. It's too dangerous, if Kian finds out he'll kill you just like he killed Mr. Bennet. Nothing gets in between him and Emma."

"Then so be it. Considering that my friends are dropping like flies because of your minions, I'm most likely next anyway. I will die protecting her and my friends before I ever listen to you again." She sighs in frustration. "Fine. It's your funeral."

I stormed out and ran to the bus station. If this was going to be my last night of freedom, I knew that there was only one person I could call to make this the best night ever.

"Hello?"

"I need your help."

Emma's POV
It was time to pick up the kids and I was running late. Once I realized that Sam's car was still being fixed, I called Mike to pick me up because the kids are familiar with him.

"Thanks for the ride." I said with a smile as I got into the car, he smirked. "Anything for the girl that got me to admit my feelings for Charlotte."
