"Has it ever occured to you that I'm the best liar you have met in your lifetime?" lying on her side of the bed with her back facing the man with whom she shared a home for years, she asked.
"I have cheated on you countless times, you forgave me. I have mistreated you and hurt you many times but you have always accepted my apologies. I have been nothing but pain to you, but you never left my side. No, my dear," confidently, he answered without even a single glance at her. "You love me too much to lie to me."
"I have and for many years, I have made you believe in it."
"What's that lie then?"
"I'm happy with you."
