My brothers and I were allowed to leave the house the next day. Mr. Z told me to work at the store while he was gone doing something with a few of the other men so I agreed, not wanting to piss him off. Conner didn't seem to happy when I walked in. After checking his mind, it was true he had no memory of what happened.

I began working on putting things back where they belong that customers have misplaced. I heard Conner's phone ring. "Hey Sally," he said. Then he was silent as she spoke. "Yeah I'm working with that bitch. Boss is out today, but he's letting his whore work today," Conner told her. I tried to ignore them. "Please, Mr. Z only keeps her around because she sucks his dick," he told her with a scoff. I hated people like him. Smile to your face then stab in the back. Good thing I never cared.

"I dont know where she is. She probably left to enjoy herself since he isn't here. Probably sucking someone else's cock," he told her. I came out from behind the shelf I was cleaning.

"Let's get one thing straight, Conner. If I were to fuck anyone else, that person would be a deadman. You see Mr. Z is very territorial and until I go back to Texas, I'm his territory. Now as for being kept here because of how well I suck his cock, let's just say I do so much more than that," I told him. I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Conner's eyes widen, "I couldn't have said it better myself Ms. Zio," Mr. Z said. "Goodbye Conner." Conner stuttered, but Mr. Z was having none of that.

Once he was gone Mr. Z locked the store and turned the closed sign. He then turned to me, "My territory huh?" I smirked, "You made that pretty clear my first day at the house." "Oh no Ms. Zio, I can really show you what it's like to claim you, but I don't think you can handle it," He said with a sinister smile that got me excited. His smiles are always sinister, even if he doesn't mean them to be and that's just how I like it. I smirked,"I'm a big girl Mr. Z, I handle myself. Only reason I won't let you is because I don't love you." And it was true. I could though, but was he capable of such a feeling. "And you don't love me. If that happens then I will let you claim me. Until then I will continue to be your territory until it is time for me to leave New Orleans. Clock is ticking Mr. Z."

After our talk at the shop we went back to the mansion. He ran off to do some errands, so I was left at the mansion with my brothers. I walked around the bottom floor until I found them in a training room. They swords in hand, a few of the Founders stood against the wall watching. "You aren't going to train in that are you," Jaden asked me, not looking away from Jay. "What happened to, you guys never wanted to train with me again," I asked them with my arms crossed. "That was before we applied," Jay said. I rolled my eyes and went up to my room. I changed into a sports bra and shorts. I threw on my running shoes before grabbing my thigh holsters for my throwing knives. I was putting my hair up into a ponytail on my way down the stairs as Silver was going up. We locked eyes as we passed, but neither of us said anything as we continued in the directions we were heading.

I get to the room and jump right into the training. It was all against all even though they tried ganging up against me. I had dipped into the cold hearted side of myself, the side that allows me to kill. The side that allows me to survive. It was clear my brothers were out of practice when I easily knocked them on to their asses without even drawing my knives. "Even in training you have to become the heartless killers you are when you're hunting. That part of you has to become your best friend, or this job will kill you quicker than you can blink," I told them. "In training you have to be willing to kill your opponent, just like you are out there. Don't let relations fog that. After all, there could be a day where you might have to kill me or each other because there are things out there that can take you over."

The kept getting up, but it was clear my point wasn't getting across. Getting fed up, I turned it up a notch and I knew I was going to regret it. "Neither of you seem to be listening. So let me paint the picture for you. Had you been a heartless killer from the start, Ashley and Carol would still be alive, and we would be celebrating Carol's pregnancy. Instead, you lost your women, and Jay you lost your unborn child. All because neither of you could be what you needed to be." Jay's fist slammed into my gut, and I flew across the room, going through the wall. I smirked as I gut up, seeing the darkness in their eyes. Their anger. "Channel that grief, that anger, and that blame you feel towards yourself and remember why they're dead," I told them. The swords came flying at me thanks to Jaden's telekinesis and I sent them flying another direction. I then ran at them, dodging whatever was thrown at me. I jumped into the air and spun, my heel connecting with Jay's jaw. I landed in a crouch and jumped into the air, flipping over Jaden, my hands grabbing his head, throwing him into the ground. "You boys have the ability as long as you hone it into a sharpened blade and use it as your weapon. You loose sight of that though and it'll cost you your life."
