I woke up to the sun shinning in my eyes. I rolled over, and saw Z was still unconscious. I only know he hadn't woken up yet because he was still in the clothes from the fight, blood splatter and dirt all over him. I tried to get up but my limbs felt like jelly. How long have we been out? I managed to sit up, not Z remaining undisturbed. I listened to the deathly silence of the house, only faintly hearing something from the living room. I looked down at Z, and I was starving, but the idea of feeding from him as he slept was wrong to me. Especially since he is so weak.

So I sighed and got out of bed. My knees felt weak as they tried to support my weight. I managed to make it to our ensuite. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw that I looked pale as a ghost, blood splatter all over me. I sat on the edge of the tub and turned on the water. Taking my clothes off and getting in was almost impossible, but I had to do it because I hated seeing another's blood covering my skin.

I washed and scrubbed till my skin was raw. Afterwards, I had the difficult task of getting out of the bath, drying off, and getting dressed. My stomach growled in protest. Food. I need food and Zephira. I got to the stairs and felt my world spin. My mother was then there picking me up as if I were still a child.

"You could have called for help," she told me. "I didn't know who was awake," I told her. "No one," she told me. "You're the first to have woken up." "How long have I been out," I asked her. "Two months," she replied. "What," I asked, completely dumbfounded. She sat me on the couch, "You and the others were so drained after what you did. It shouldn't be a surprise. You all closed millions of Tears. That's no easy feat. Now you rest here while I go get you something to eat."

She placed a kiss on my head before going to the kitchen. I saw Zephira in her swing next to the couch, asleep with her pacifier in her mouth. "I'm sorry mommy and daddy were gone so long," I said to her softly. Two whole months.

When my mom came back with the food, I couldn't help but scarf it down. I had gone so long without eating and it shows. When I finished I felt a little better, but now I felt exhausted. "Let's get you back to bed so you can properly rest," my mother said. I couldn't protest, didn't have it in me to do so. She picked me up and took me back to bed, laying me next to Z. I sighed softly once the door was shut. How much has changed in the two months we've been unconscious? Sleep took me a few seconds later.

The next time I woke up it was just past sundown and I was feeling a lot better. I got up and went to the bathroom before going downstairs. Draco was now awake on the couch with my mother, and Violet was on the loveseat. "How do you feel Allie," Violet asked me. "A lot better than I was feeling this morning," I told her. She nodded, "That's good." "Z wake up yet," Draco asked me. I shook my head, "Not yet." He nodded, "Last time we had to use the Key, Z funneled most of his power into it, trying to make it easier on the others. He had been out for three months. However, he maybe out longer due to the amount of power we all used to get those Tears to close. If we used so much to the point it knocked us out, I don't want to think about how much Z gave."

"How could Z give more than everyone since we were linked," Violet asked him. "Because he was the one to draw the circles. Since he drew the circles, he became the main source of power. He is the only one of us who can become the main source. He has the most power, which is another reason as to why he is our leader. Silver is the second strongest, but not even his magic abilities come close to grazing Z's," he explained and it made sense. Anytime a circle needed to be drawn, it was always Z.

"So what has happened while we were out," I asked my mother. "The things from the Tears that were already here, began to panic because they had no way home. They began to attack the humans in broad daylight, not caring about hiding themselves. Members from the five families who hadn't lost their way, stepped in to assist, as well as the Blood Crusaders, but the things from the Tears are able to reproduce at an alarming rate, so it's hard to keep up with them." My mother then looked at Violet, "Your family has been in New Orleans, trying to keep the enemy's population low, but they struggle with the sheer number. They also want to speak to you once you have recovered." Violet shook her head, "I don't know. After last time, I don't know if I can. They had come here to try and kill me." "Once the Tears were closed, they realized you had been telling the truth," my mother told her.

Violet scoffed, "It would have been nice had they just trusted me to begin with." She had a point. I was going to stay out of this though. It was her battle to fight. "Once we've all recovered, we'll be able to hunt down those things from the Tears and eradicate them," Draco declared and I nodded in agreement. The sooner they were gone, the better.

Later that night I took Zephira up to the nursery and laid her down before going to sit on the bed next to Z. I shook my head at him. He was foolish for doing this to himself, but I know everyone is grateful that he did. He was truly amazing. Now I just hoped he would hurry up and wake up.
