Chapter 25

I knocked hesitantly on Violet's door. "Yeah," I heard her say from inside. I went in and saw she was sitting in her bed on her laptop. She smiled when she saw me, "Hey Allie, what's up?" "We need to have a talk," I told her as I shut the door. "About what," she asked, looking slightly nervous. "I know you're sick," I told her as I sat on the bed. "I've known since I extracted the poison. I could tell by the taste of your blood that it did a lot of damage to you." She looked down, "I was hoping I could keep it from you so that way you wouldn't feel guilty for not saving me." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, "I feel bad for not coming to you sooner, but I've been talking with the other female beasts that reside in the realm where they wait for a host. I've been trying to find one who would accept you. Only one though was willing to be bound to you."

"Really," She asked looking unsure. I nodded, "Her name is Amara and she's the mate to Silver's beast. She has seen that you have a liking for Silver, and a respect for her mate. She would prefer you both love each other, but she understands that she can't force that." "But why would she do this for me," She asked while looking down at the bed. "Because she is Gamora's sister, and she knows Gamora has a special fondness for you and she doesn't want her sister to be in pain when you pass."

"I want to talk to Silver first. After all, if I do this, it will be his mate I'm bonded with," she told me. I smiled softly, "I understand. While you go do that Zeviathan is taking me out on date while you warriors stay home. You guys can teleport to us if you sense anything is wrong." She smiled, "Have fun." I gave her a smirk, "That's the plan." She laughed as I left her room. That went better than I thought.

Silver's POV

I sat in the living room shortly after Z and Alanna left for their date. Violet came in, "Can we talk?" I raised an eyebrow and put my bookmark in it's place. Talking and Violet, never go in the same sentence. She was a hot head who was always quick to snap if someone said something she didn't approve of. How Bestion, my beast, find her interesting, I will never know. The only thing truly interesting about her, is how intense she enjoys having sex.

"About what," I asked her. "Allie already knew I was sick," she told me as she sat down on the couch. "She talked to me before leaving for her date." I looked her over, and saw she was nervous. She was also paler than usual and her hair was in need of some help. "What did she tell you," I asked her. "She has been talking with some of the females in the realm where your beasts reside in before finding a host. She told me, a beast named Amara has agreed to be bound to me," she explained to me.

"Do the others know," I asked her. She shook her head, "I came straight to you." "Why," I asked her puzzled. "Because Amara is mates with your beast," she told me. I felt my blood freeze yet Bestion seems to be over the moon. "She understands there is no love between us. She agreed so Gamora doesn't have to grieve if I were to die," She rushed to add in before I could ask anymore questions.

"If you wish I not be bound to Amara, then I wont go through with it. After all, I've already accepted my death," she said before standing and leaving the living room. I was too stunned to say anything. Violet would be my mate if she went through with the change.

My mind shifted from the matter when there was a loud crash and growls. I left the living room and found Jay being pinned by Mackio. "Let him go Mackio," I told him. Suddenly something is slammed into the side of my head. Stunning me for a second. That second was all they needed before a spell was binding me. I turned and saw Cast, a member of the Faction. "What the fuck is going on here," I snapped. Cast then bound Jay who struggled against it. Mackio smirked, "We're taking over." "That's really not smart," Jay told him. "Allie is gonna kick your ass." Mackio smirked, "I'd like to see her try."

"Put me the fuck down," I could hear Kelsi shout, with Drako growling. There was an explosion in the direction of the library. The Queen's work. The King treasures and admires every piece she's put in the house, the library ceiling the one he treasures the most.

One by one, the Faction has us bound and gathered. Except for Violet. "Where the fuck is that human bitch," Mackio growled as he eyed us. "What's wrong Mack, pissed a human is gettin' the best of you," Jaden asked him. His lip was split from fighting. "Careful pup, wouldn't want anything to happen to your mother now would you," Adolfo threatened, a knife touching Kelsi's skin. Drako and the twins growled at him.

"We can't find her," Claus said when he came in. "Her scent is gone." Axel, Talos, and I shared a look. She was still here. I could sense her. "She's dying, so she can't face us all," Mackio said, probably having overheard our conversation. I noticed out of the corner of my eye, a thin mist. She was covering her scent with it. Clever.

I prayed she got word to the King soon. I looked at the runes that were holding me. It was a complex spell, one that would take a while for me to reverse. Mackio then seemed to notice something. "I can't hear the others," He said. Violet then appeared behind him, "That's because I've taken care of them." 

Claus, Mackio, and Aldolfo turned to face her. Suddenly plants were wrapped around Claus and Aldolfo, a gas coming out, hitting them in the face. They seized up. The plants released them and they dropped like stones. "You can't be killed, but temporarily paralyzed is another story," She told him. He went to charge at her, but she then blew fire from her mouth, the gas remaining in the air from the plants caused an explosion, shooting him across the room, through the wall. He was then caught by Z who was standing outside waiting. His eyes were red and his fangs on display. His claws dug into Mackio's neck. Mackio tried to get out of his grip.

Jaden then began to glow, before his runes disappeared. "Fuck that was a pain in the ass," he grumbled. He then held up his hand. It was glowing with claws. He slashed at the runes that kept us bound, releasing us. We gathered up the paralyzed Faction members. Talos bound them with his own runes. Z threw Mackio to Axel and I, "Chain them up. I'll deal with them when I get back. And get this shit cleaned up before I bring her home." He was then gone. Mackio tried to fight us.

"It must suck getting beaten by a human," Axel said as we dragged him beneath the house. We threw him in to a cell that is meant to drain us of our magic and power. We locked the door and went back up. "Go check on her," Axel told me. I nodded and followed the warrior bond to her room. I didn't bother with knocking before entering. She was taking off her clothes, "I'm going to take a bath." She told me as she looked at me over she shoulder. "Mind if I join," I asked her. "The door was unlocked wasn't it," She said before going into the bathroom. I undressed and followed her into the bathroom. I got in the large tub and held out a hand for her. She took it and rested against my chest.

"How do you feel," I asked her. "Tired," she replied softly. She then coughed, her hand covering her mouth, as blood came up. I handed her a rag and she took it, "Thank you." "If you change, we will mate," I told her, shocking her. "It will make our beasts happy. It will also keep us from being able to have sex with anyone else. Our beasts will kill us if we ever did. We will be mating out of understanding, and because we owe it to Amara for offering to help you to continue living. Don't ever expect love from me, I'm not one to know the feeling." She nodded, "Mating for survival, I can agree to that."

I then allowed her to slouch against me, relaxing fully. She was far more tired than she was letting on. She could have killed herself taking on the Faction by herself. When her breathing became evened, I knew she fell asleep. I allowed her to rest till the water became cold. I picked her up and carried her to her bed. I laid her down before dressing in my clothes. I found some clothes to dress her in before covering her up. I left her room quietly.

"How is she," Talos asked at the bottom of the stairs. "Asleep," I told him as Axel came over. I then shared with them what will soon be happening. Except that she and I will be mating. It will stay between us until after it happens. "We will discuss this with the Queen when she returns. Until then, we need to clean up the house. As it stands, Z is going to loose his shit once he sees the library," Axel said as he ran a hand through his hair. Talos and I nodded before we got started.
