Nora's POV- July 2019

I understand that Chris' teammates were happy to see him, but they all wanted to talk to him and that just overwhelmed Chris. Before the press conference even started, his teammates were updated on Chris' condition. Only close friends, teammates, and family would know about this, so if the media found out in the next couple of day then I'd know it was a big mouth teammate (potential significant other), and let me tell you there was a lot on this team. Don't get me wrong, almost everyone was lovely, but they sure loved to gossip.

"What time is it?"

"7PM" I answered.

Chris sighed and removed the damp towel from his face.

"That explains why I'm starving"

Same.

"What time are your parents getting to the house?"

"In about a half hour" I answered.

His stomach growled.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Better, and very hungry"

I smiled.

"Let me get you a snack from the cafeteria and we can head out once you've eaten something" I said.

He nodded.

"You should eat too"

I had not packed snacks because I did not think we'd be here that long.

"Bring me whatever Josie's diet plan lets me eat, but no vegetables please"

I smiled as he sat up.

"Okay, I'll be back," I told him before kissing his cheek.

"Take your time"

I smiled at the security who was standing outside the door.

"I'll be right back," I said to him.

"No worries, Dr. Jensen"

I raised an eyebrow.

"Sorry, Nora"

Correct.

"I'll be back" I repeated as I walked towards the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was short, but as I opened the door, I heard my name.

"Nora!"

I was pulled into a tight hug.

"It's so nice to see you!"

Mady, Corey Seager's girlfriend let go of me before smiling at me.

"I didn't think I'd catch you"

"Chris isn't feeling well," I told her.

Her pretty smile was replaced with a concerned frown.

"Is he okay?"

"A little bit of nausea and a headache" I answered.

"Concussion symptoms"

Correct.

"What about you, How are you feeling?"

"A bit sluggish" I admitted.

Mady nodded.

"I'm sorry Corey and I"

Before she could finish her apology, I began to shake my head.

"Corey had his rehab assignment and you had work, it's fine" I assured her.
