Bella's POV
As I stood in the arms of a man who stole my baby, i watched Nicole die slowly, knowing there wasn't a thing i could do about it. And that was frusterating.
"NICOLE!" I screamed as loud as i could. "NICOLE!"
"I'm sorry little lady.... but it had to be done," the man holding me said.
I heard a loud gunshot from behind me, and slowly, the painfully tight grip on my waist faded. The man fell down to the ground.
There were only three boys left - and the same thing happened to each of them. A shot to their head. Was I next?
I heard a car door slam and i looked over and saw Ryan running in my direction. Thank God.
He hugged me tight. "Where is Mary Alice?" He whispered in my ear.
I looked up at him with a worrying, panicked look in my eyes. "She's dead...." I gulped out.
Ryan's face looked pale white. A tear came out of his right eye. "What do you mean she's dead."
"They shot her," i cried, falling to my knees.
Wait - they only shot Nicole, right? Not Mary Alice. Maybe.... maybe Mary Alice was still alive. But Nicole had fallen on top of her, so she was losing oxygen quickly!
"Ryan, wait!" I yelled, pulling myself out of his grasp. I ran towards Nicole's blood-pouring body, fearful of Mary Alice's outcome.
I pulled Nicole up and saw her eyes closed, a bullet hole gone through her right thigh. Did she still have a chance to live? Most likely not, but I could still hope, right? It wasn't in the heart or anything....
"What happened to Nicole!!" Ryan screamed, picking Nicole up in his own two arms. "Shhhh, its gonna be okay," he said, rocking her.
As he was doing so, i picked up my Mary Alice and immediately went for her pulse - which, as thankful ad we were, she was still alive. And she sure wasnt leaving without us ever again.
"Ryan.... she is still alive!!!" I squealed as I kissed her forehead, staring at her beautiful emerald green eyes and cute little puffy cheeks.
What a cutie.
Ryan plopped down beside me to gaze at the beautiful work of art we created together. "So beautiful...." he whispered, pulling a strand of hair behind my ear.
"I love you," I reminded him as I turned to face him with Mary Alice still in my own two loving hands.
"I love you more," he replied. I'm so lucky, I thought. To have a man like him... any girl would want him just by looking at him. And yet - he was mine!
"Can we go home? I am tired," I spoke, yawning loudly.
"Of course, baby, wanna pick up some food on the way?"
Food.
I forgot about food.
"Yes!!! Let's stop by Chick-fil-a!" I squealed, jumping up. Ryan wrapped his arm around my waist as we made our way to the car.
Ryan still held Nicole in his other arm - were we going to take her to the hospital??
"Babe, are we taking Nicole to the hospital first or what...?" I questioned. "We will. And then se will get you some food."
We plopped down in Ryan's lambo and as I stared at Mary Alice, I whispered "What a nightmare...." without even realizing it.
"Being with me means this typa shit it going to happen. Which is why you should leave me."
"Ryan, I have already told you this, I am never leaving you. Ever," I replied, sad he would still think this nonsense.
"You deserve someone better."
"I have you! I can't possibly find anyone better!! You are my person, Ryan," I said, looking over at him with sad eyes.
"Whatever... I still think you could be with someone who could give you the world." He stared at the steering wheel, facing deep, dark thoughts as a tear fell from his eye.
"Ryan, you already gave me my world, you gave me our world!!" I pointed at my sweet Mary Alice. "I couldn't be prouder and happier for that reason. And I love you," I said, hoping for a response.
He smiled, and responded, "I love you too."
Finally, when we left the lot, I felt a swoosh of relief flag over me. But also fear. Thirty minutes ago Mary Alice's life was put in danger - and my heart was still beating fast for that reason. Also... Nicole.... I didnt think she was gonna make it out alive.
A tear fell from my eye and slid down my cheek from tonight's events. I just dont understand.
I must hope for the best.

Hehehehehehe. This is a short chappy but it is short for a reason, i'm gonna write a pretty long author's note.
I havent updated in probably a month. Which is sad, i get it, and i'm sorry. But i just didnt have the time. I was finishing up school, i had finals, and life was just extremely pushing on me. I felt as if i always had this large weight on my shoulders and i'm finally glad everything is over.
Moving on, there wont be many chapters left to this book. Maybe three or four or even five, at most... we are reaching an ending point lol (in case ya didnt notice) sooo ... yeah.... thats sad. But also when this is finished itll give me time to work on my two other books, An Alpha's Angel and The Dominant Vampire. (check them out,,)
ALSO, THANKS FOR ALMOST 18K. WHERE ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH DID THAT COME FROM. 18k.... omg!! I love yall so much!!
