Regina Mills-

"Emma?" Is it really her? It can't be. "Em- I..." but with one swift movement, she vigorously shakes her head and barges past me. What is she doing here? I haven't seen her for 7 years! Oh my...

"Hey Regina, how are you?" Snow beams as she steps through granny's diner with David tugging her close to his frame as he always does.

My head whips back to search for the blonde, I'm truly baffled why she is here! Maybe she's just oddly a spitting image of the woman I once loved. Maybe it's my foolish mind playing tricks on me. My eyes flutter back to snow and David and nod slowly, unsure of exactly how I'm feeling right now. A fake smile morphs upon my face as I contemplate whether or not emma actually stood before me, or whether or not my mind is playing tricks.

"Fine Thankyou" I lie. "How are you?"

"We're wonderful, we really should meet up tomorrow, catch up" the short pixie haired woman enthusiastically suggests. "You've been so busy with work, we should go for a drink!"

"I don't know snow... I have a lot to do sin-"

"Nonsense, Regina you need to let loose" David admits, instantly cutting me off and snapping my mouth shut. "I'll have Henry while you ladies have ladies night"

Whose Henry?

"I suppose, 8pm?" I timidly ask to snow who is already nodding along. "Great, see you then" I smile, heading into the diner for my usual final coffee before the place shuts. However this order is a little different.

I strut inside confidently, as I usually do but deep down I'm a nervous wreck today, just because a certain blonde invaded my mind.

"Madam mayor, usual?" Granny calls as I take a seat at the bar stool.

"Shots"

"Shots? Oh boy what's wrong?"

"N-Nothing" I stutter. Her eyes wider while her eyebrows raise sky high. "Fine. I thought I saw someone who was a big part of my past but I'm beginning to think I'm seeing things"

"The cute blonde?" She questions.

"You seen her!" I shriek. "Oh boy this isn't good" I sigh, my hands begin to shake vigorously as my nerves take over. Granny places a shot on the bar side and instantly I slam it down and wipe away the excess around my mouth. I wince from the strong wrench of alcohol and request another, doing the same. "Shit!" I scream, slamming my fists on the bar and lucky enough, there's only 2 other people in here also drowning their sorrows in any offered alcohol.

"Regina, do you wanna talk?"

"No!" I snap, abruptly falling to my feet and slamming the door open and proceeding to my car.

How am I ever going to push past this? I thought I put it all in the past. I thought I forgot about this. Finally my heart allowed me to recover yet here I am, feelings crashing back and my past haunting me now more than ever.

If that truly was Emma, then... then... oh my gosh! That boy!

I slam my hands repeatedly upon my stealing wheel as my tears stain my face. My makeup runs down my cheeks as my harsh sobs crack in the back of my throat.

In the glimpse of my side mirror, I see her, a few yards back where she heads to the trunk of her car and retrieves a suitcase and a smaller duffel bag. No way! She's staying?

I really need to get home, lock myself in my room and forget about everything until the day Emma Swan leaves my town.

I proceed to my room, one swift flick of my wrist and I force old photos to reappear, scattered all over my bed. Photos of her and I when we were just 17. When we vowed to be friends forever.
