Emma Swan-

"Aghhh" I groan, slumping down on the bed with a huge huff to empathise my embarrassment. Regina wonders in from the bathroom, towel wrapped around her head, and a robe hiding her perfect body.

"What's wrong?"

"I just got off the phone with my mother" i groan, covering my strawberry toned cheeks with my hands.

"And.." she scoffs sitting at her dressing table and pulling the towel on her head off, retrieving the hairbrush and smoothly brushing her wet locks.

"And... she found my to-do list in my jacket that I left" I moan more, sitting on the edge of the bed but Reginas eyes open wide and shrug, like she has no idea what's to come.

"I don't see what the deal is Emma?"

"The deal is... you was on top of my to-do list. In capital letters, big bold red font, you was also at the end too but beside the point..." I draw out into a ramble ever so quickly but Regina latches on to ever word. She breaks into a fit of laughter. "Regina, this isn't funny! It's utterly humiliating"

"Dear, she knows we're together, she knows our relationship isn't exactly PG" she rolls her eyes and continues to style her hair and it's amazing how quickly it dries with a touch of her fancy serum.

"Because of you... everything we do you go blabbering to my mother. It's embarrassing when my dads teasing me and my own mother can barely look me in the eyes"

"She's my best friend too, as much as it kills me to admit, your mother and I are pretty close I have you know" She sasses, getting up from her dressing table and wondering over to me, straddling me ever so sexily and wrapping her hands around the back of my neck. "Now, Swan... get dressed, we have a scan to attend"

That's right. Today is the day we have our twenty week scan the day we may or may not find out the gender of our baby. And as Ruby's first godmother duty, she's arranged a little party back at granny's.

"Do you want to find out our little baby is a girl?" I ask softly. Peering up at her and pecking her twisted lips as she thinks.

"I did... but not I'm not so sure, I'd like a surprise" she shrugs, as she plays with lose blonde strands.

"Just because you don't want to be proven wrong" I tease. "My dreams don't lie, she is definitely a girl" I grin widely. "Don't you want to know? So you can shop for the right gender, so we can think of names, so we can have confirmation"

"I guess, maybe we could reveal it at the gender party later, we could get the midwife to write it and put it inside an envelope and then we can get your mother to surprise us, then I can prove to you it's a boy" she beams.

"That sounds like a great idea, mom can fill two balloons, one with blue confetti, and one with pink confetti, we could also have cupcake we both bite in and see the colour inside, Oh this is going to be good" I get so excited I'm practically shoving Regina off my to pace the bedroom.

Being as I'm so positive it's a girl, I'm wearing a skater dress, pale pastel pink, with a soft nude head, my blonde curls cascade down to my hips. Regina- being so sure she's carrying a boy, where's a tight bodycon maternity dress, off the shoulder with a navy heal that I'm shocked she can even walk in being this big.

We then proceed to drive to the appointment. Excitement is flowing through my veins. I cannot wait to discover what Regina and I are having.

"Hayden"

"What?" I ask, quickly glancing off the road and peering at Regina. My eyes flick between the road and my girlfriend.

"I like the name Hayden, it has a ring to it... Hayden and Henry"

"It's cute, I like it..."

We arrive at the room, and follow the same method we have twice already, Regina lifts the stretchy material over her bump and tucks the paper sheet into the line of her underwear in order for the cold gel to not run. The monitor immediately scans her entire stomach as we see our baby display on the screen yet again. Yet it will be something I never get tired of. This truly is a magical moment.

In the norm of life Regina and I would never be able to conceive a child, it's scientifically impossible. I was panicking about my period being late all those weeks ago and Regina would joke about us being lesbians but little did we know, Regina was in fact pregnant. Shocker I know, so we are grateful to be two magical people conceiving a baby through true love. We're beyond lucky to have this opportunity.

"Your baby is 7 and a half inches, and 11 ounces, it's a big baby you're having" the midwife states as she measures the bump.

"Great. That's going to be fun in labour" she scoffs as I hold her hand in mine.

"Would you like to know the gender?"

And that's the question we've been contemplating for weeks now, one second it's a yes, the next it's a maybe but I think we've finically established it's a yes, except we want my mother to break the news at our party this evening.

"Erm..." she stutters peering up at me where I just shrug, I know what I want but I fear it's not what Regina wants. "Could you write it down, and envelope it please"

"Absolutely" she agrees, writing the short word on a piece of paper and sliding it into a shiny gold envelope. "Do you have children already?"

"A boy; his names Henry, he's eight"

"Oh lovely, I just want to say congratulations... again... I hope this is what you want" the nurse grins handing the envelope to me as Regina cleans herself up and shimmy's her dress back down.

"We really don't mind what we have, I'm grateful for this chance, so any gender will be a blessing to our family" Regina states as I duck down a place a loving kiss to her forehead, I'm so excited to find out.
