Can you believe this miracle? Not only was we granted the chance of a baby. That's right, a lesbian couple having a baby, but two. Lucky is an understatement for sure.

And not only on the special day of December 22nd I delivered two beautiful babies, but that's the day Emma finally lived up to her promise for that day, she proposed.

It wasn't at all romantic or book worthy or romcom approved but it was totally us. Snow is all about it being a big gesture, romantic and loving but that's just not Emma and I at all. We're more like best friends full of wit and banter who are forever teasing everyone, so for her to blurt out "marry me" it was unexpected, it was casual, it was loved in a moment where my family was all in one room.

It's been a little over a month since I was discharged from hospital, and let me just tell you how wonderful my Christmas was with my family.

We hosted at our house of course, snow and charming had one guest room, Henry obviously had his own room, we decided to turn the conservatory into another guest bedroom for my mother and Zelena is popping by later that day for dinner with robin and belle.

Everyone was thrilled with gifts this year, my mother got this stunning necklace from Emma and I which may I say... was not cheap. Henry of corse got spoilt with all kinds of comics, games, Xbox, figures, you name it, Henry got it. But the best gift of all was the one I received from Emma, Snow and Charming, not only did they design the babies nursery to a magical enchanted forest theme with hand painted trees, lakes, horses, knights, castles. It was magical indeed. There's a cot either side of the room, one with a blue H and one with a pink H hanging on the wall above their bed. Hayden's unicorn Mobile was made of blue shiny glass shaped as swords and shields which was clearly hand crafted by David while Hopes was pink unicorns and crowns clearly designed by Snow. Emma has planned the entire room with help from her parents, but that's not even the best present of all... what I received from Emma will be treasured for lifetime. The heirloom running through her charming family... a diamond ring but not any kind. The glowing emerald green rock glows when in need to find you're true love. The ring has been passed through generations of love and some day it will be passed to our children.

However we're now passed Christmas and New Years and the wedding is our next biggest plan. Obviously our main focus right now is raising these babies but we do plan on a summer wedding, one Snow has been preparing for a life time, seriously, you should see that bible of hers filled with every imaginable flower, every materials dress, every romantic location. Wedding planning will be a breeze with Mary Margaret helping. She's always dreamed of her daughter getting married and it seems she was well prepared for the occasion.

While I'm on maternity leave and Snow has so kindly offered to step in as mayor for me just for the meantime, she will be doing light paperwork and any drastic decision making will be run by me. However, unlucky for us, Emma is still working at the station.

My phone buzzes and draws my attention away from my sleeping baby as I read the message from my fiancée.

Emma: How's my babies? Xx
Regina: I'm fine thank you, how are you? X

I can just imagine the way Emma is blushing from my teasing manner. Of course I know she meant Hayden and Hope.

Emma: haha very funny madam mayor, I miss my babies, let me see the little angels xx

I immediately snap a photo of little Hayden burying into my chest as he snoozes. This baby can sleep through any curse imaginable. Whereas Hope, nuhuh, she is awake 24/7. It seams Hayden taken up the attention in the womb now she's making up for it.

Emma: he's so beautiful like his mama, I can't wait for my shift to finish so I can come back to you all, where's my little hope? I suspect she isn't sleeping xx

She knows our daughter far too well; she is in fact wide awake and kicking those little legs of hers and babbling as she plays on her play mat.

I may Hayden down in his little travel cot and sit upon the floor.

"You're not tired are you my little princess" I coo, taking her hands as her fingers curl around my thumbs. She gurgles back and smiles widely but who knows if that's down to her actually being pleased to see me or if it's just wind.

I place a few sofa pillows under our heads and elevate my phone in the air. Hope appears to be so fascinated by the glow of my screen and seems desperate to reach out and grab the device giving me the opportunity to snap the cutest photo.

Emma: she has your stunning eyes, she's going to be a heartbreaker for all the boys xx

Regina: well if she's anything like her mammas then she won't have eyes for the boys at all, and if she does I'll have to make sure her mama is checking the boys hearts for purity xx

Hayden and Hope are identical as babies, the only difference is Hayden has sparkling hazel eyes with gold specks and Hope has my dark loving pits that trap everyone in. Hayden is just like his big brother, whereas Hope already takes a lot after me.

Emma: I'm sure you will- I'll be home in an hour, save some cuddles for me xx I love you 💓

Regina: my arms will be wide open as soon as you step through the door ❤️ See you soon Miss Swan. Xx

It seems I'm in habit of calling her Miss Swan however I'm making the most out of her dorky little nickname that I'm so hopelessly in love with, for soon she will be Mrs Swan-Mills.

a/n: I don't know about you guys, but I loved writing this chapter. I'm going to aim for roughly 100 chapters but I guess we shall see. This has been an amazing journey and I want it to end in an amazing way, I'm just trying to think how. Xx
