"Momma? Where am I?" I ask.
"Baby girl, you're in the hospital." Mom tells me gently.
"W-why?" I begin to panic.
"Your organs began to fail. You starved yourself too long, Adrienne. You need to get better, it's really starting to effect you. I just don't like seeing you like this." Mom is right. I am in the hospital now because of it.
"I know. I just have to try harder. It's just hard." I admit. Mom pulls me into a hug.
"Adrienne! Oh my god! You scared me!" Lucy runs in and squeezes me.
"Lucy! Too tight! My stomach hurts."I complain. She releases me. Tears brim her eyes.
" Adrienne, I thought you weren't going to make it." Lucy is on the verge of tears.
"Lucy, Mom, I'm sorry. I didn't realize how much it affected you." It's true.
I am released three days later. As I lay in bed I hear the door open, and slam shut. Slowly, I peek around the corner. Mom stands there, eyes closed, locking lips with Keegan.
