💜Virgils POV 💜
My eyes burn with tears as I sprint down the hallway to the dark side. "Virgil? What's the matter?" Deceit steps in front of me and looks me in the eyes with concern. "Where is he?" After all this time, he's back! Deceits expression softens. "Down the hall, the new room." he steps to the side and gives me a small smile. I take a deep breath and walk towards the dark red door, trying to calm myself down. I reach for the door handle but pull away at the last second. What if he doesn't want to see me? What if he thinks I gave up? You can do this, Virge. I nod slightly and knock on the door, hoping that he's awake. "coming~" a smile spreads over my face but disappears almost immediately as those thoughts come back. You're best friends, of course he wants to see you. Just breathe. Tears form in my eyes as I hear the door handle clicking. When the door opens I'm greeted my a familiar face, tears forming in his eyes. "... Virgil?" I wrap my arms under his as fast as I could. "You're really here!" I feel my shoulder getting damp, but it doesn't bother me. "I missed you, so much!" he and I just cry for a while, repeatedly telling each other how much we missed the other. Eventually we were able to talk without having to translate through sobs. We closed the door and sat in his room, filling each other in on what the other had missed. "So... You're dating the light sides?" Mani and I had always joked about who we would date if we ever became main sides. "yeah, do you approve?" he's laying on his stomach near the foot of the bed while I'm sitting on the floor. "Yeah I approve!" Mani laughs and hits me with a pillow. "So you're okay with me dating the light sides? What about me being one?" Mani looks thoughtful for a minute before smiling at me again. "Yeah, I guess that's cool." He sits up and smirks at me. "what about you? Are you happy as a light side?" I give him a confused look and sit in front of him on the bed. "Of course! I feel safe with them, they make me feel at home and accepted. They're always making sure that I'm okay and reassuring me that they care. I'm the luckiest guy in the world." by the time I finish I'm smiling so much that my face is starting to hurt. "Awww Virge! I'm so happy for you!" Mani's eyes are practically sparkling. "Haha, thanks." I look away as my face heats up. "Oh, I almost forgot! I missed your birthday." I shake my head and smile at him. "it's fine, Mani." he sighs and looks up at me. "I still wanna give you something! I've been thinking for ages and my powers have been getting stronger. Look." he holds up his hand and I small glowing sphere forms in his hand. Barely seconds later it turns into a bird! "Wow! That's amazing!" he chuckles and puts it into a small box. "is... That my gift?" he grins at me and shakes his head. "before you became a main side, you told me that you would love to have wings." my eyes widen and he looks away from me rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "do you still want them?" my jaw drops and he looks back at me. "Are... Are you serious? You can do that?" he grins at me and nods. "Yes!" I jump up and laugh at myself. "okay just take of your jumper and turn around." I think for a second and raise an eyebrow. "no joke? You swear this isn't some trick?" he sighs and looks up at me. "I'm serious! Turn around, if I do anything other than give you wings I'll let you practice your powers on me. For life!" I laugh and turn around taking off my jumper. Red smoke surrounds me, tickling my ribcage making me giggle. The smoke cleared and revealed two large purple and black wings on my back. "Woah.... Mani.... They're...." he looks down sadly. "They're horrible, aren't they?" I shake my head and go back to admiring them. "I was gonna say beautiful."
