They had all traveled to the homestead to discuss Thomas' fate. "He should be put out with the Grievers!" Gally exclaimed as some murmured in agreement.

They all started arguing until Minho butted in. "He should become a runner." At that, there was a huge uproar.

"Settle down!" Jay yelled,making all of the boys become silent.

"When I ran away, they were saving Alby. He saved Alby's life. I don't know if he's brave or stupid, but we need more of that."

The fight continued as Thomas' last verdict was to be determined.

Jay stood next to Minho as the co-keeper of the runners. She glanced at Thomas, noticing he was staring at her openly.

She thought she saw Newt's eyes fill with hurt but as soon as it came, it was gone. The arguing of Gladers continued around them.

Though it seemed like no one else was there but the three.

There was an intense atmosphere in the homestead as they tried to decide his fate.

But maybe the trio had to solve some of their problems first. What would be his fate?

This is just a filler chapter so next one i'll make it longer!
