Forty Seventh chapter

Four's POV

I reach Zeke at the en of the hallway.

-Wait dude - I say, putting my hand on his shoulder - What's your problem!??

he turns around and sends daggers through his eyes in my direction.

-What is MY problem!? -He repeats with incredulity - What is HER problem? Doesn't she have any respect for herself? ever heard of dignity? no?

-STOP IT! - I yell, recieving glares from nurses and doctors.

I couldn't just let Zeke talk about Tris like that when part of her memories are gone and I lie about them.

- She doesn't remember - I say. Zeke looks at me with incredulity, his face still red and his hands on fists.

- What the hell are you talking about!? - He yells.

- Look - I say, taking a deep breath - She doesn't remember anything since our fight until now.

Zeke is speechless.

- Then - He finally says - Why did she say that she have forgiven you?

I sigh and pass a hand through my messy head, this will be hard to explain.

- I told her that she was upset because I hadn't forgiven her for taking her friend's side and she forgave me for not forgave her before OK?

Zeke just looks at me with a weird expression then understanding hits him. But an angry expression appears on his face.

-Dude, How could you!? take advantage of her in her state, that's just sick, ughh , you... - He points at me - I can't even look at you... you pansycake... you.... - He seems to be struggling to find words - You disgusts me!!

I look at the floor, ashamed by my beheavior.

-Are you gonna tell her the truth?

- Why!? Why break her heart!!? - I ask, desperate, begging him with my eyes to stay silent.

- She deserves to know! those are her memories you are messing with!!

- I don't want her to suffer!! I want to help.

- I think you have done enough - And the leaves me speechless.

- If she remembers then she will hate you forever - Zeke goes on.

- I... - I feel like crying - I don't know what to do. I can't lose her!!

- You are losing her now!! - He says - She is in a hospital!! with brain damage and injuries lung and you are playing with her!!

- Yeah!! She is in a hospital!! With multiplies injuries in all her body!! the last thing that she needs now is a broken heart!

Zeke lets out a frustrated yell, catching the attention of a nearby nurse, she comes towards us.

- I will have to ask you to leave if you do not make silence, other patients need to sleep - And with that she walks away.

- Tell her the truth - Zeke says.

- I don't...

- Or I will - He says.

I let out a laugh - Do you seriously think she is going to believe you?

- Shauna will have my back.

- Shauna won't want Tris with a broken heart!!

Zeke throws himself at me, making us fall. Then he starts throwing punches, aiming at my face. I fight back and we keep wrestling on the floor until two men of security pull us apart.

- What happened to my best friend!!? - He asks, tears falling from his eyes.

- It's here!

- No - Zeke says, shaking his head - you are not him, you are a cold hearted monster. Come back my friend, come back.

The security man takes him away and I just stand there, ignoring everything that the officer next to me is saying, just one thing flowing through my mind:

Come back my friend, come back.
