"What's your favorite flower?" Mike asked randomly in class.

"Uh....I don't have one." I said.

We were supposed to be working on the problems that Mrs.Miller had written on the board, but I really wasn't paying much attention to what I was doing.

"How do you not have a favorite flower?"

"Um...because I don't."

"Make a guess then,"

"Why do you want to know so badly?"

"So I take it you do have one?"

"Maybe....I like daisies."

"Why?"

"Why are you asking me that?" I questioned back.

"Because I want to know more about you."

I rolled my eyes, "I like daisies because they're pretty to look at. Okay?"

"Okay,"

Mike was so cute and sweet, he could have anybody he wanted.

Why does he want me?

"You can't like me," I reminded him, shaking my head.

"It's too bad that I do."

"Was that supposed to make me want you?" I smiled, suddenly finding the situation funny.

"Kinda. Did it work?"

"Nope."

"Not even a little?"

"No."

"Wait," He shook his head, as if what he was about to say was crazy, "So, you're, like, not attracted to me at all?"

"Correct."

"There's not any part of you that could possibly want me? Ever?"

"Right."

"Wow. This has never happened to me before."

"Shocker."

"No one has ever not liked me."

"Well, I like you, but not like that."

"Dear God, you just friendzoned me."

"Sorry...but I really don't feel that way about you."

"Why?"

"I told you why. Why do you care so much? What's so special about me?"

"That's like asking why the sky is blue."

I grinned, hiding my face as I blushed deep red.

"Um...we should stop talking."

"Oh, so that works?" Mike asked. I expected him to be smug about it, but surprisingly, he wasn't getting full of himself.

"Maybe. Sort of."

"Sort of?"

"The tiniest shred of myself thought what you just said was sweet."

"I made you happy?"

"I guess."

"Awesome."

"You care if I'm happy?"

"Yes."

"Oh. Alright."

I went all day in a trace, thinking about what Mike said.

That is, until I ran into Anthony at the end of the day.

"Sorry," I mumbled, trying to go around him.
