Chapter 5

I wake up to see my parents having breakfast with Jack. Um what ? "Good morning". I sat down beginning to eat while both my parents looked happy ? Mostly my mum. "So are you two together ? Or just friends ?". Jack and I blurted at the same time, I said "friends" but on the other hand Jack said "together". My parents looked confused and also I did, I mean were we? He did have a girlfriend.. We both hated each other yesterday, and now we're supposedly "together" - I'm confused. My parents began talking about education, relationships and what not until Jack had to go.

I walked him outside. "Jack, were not together. You have a girlfriend ? Remember " as much as I wanted to kiss him I held it in. "I broke up with her". "Did you just go out with her to make me jealous? I mean if you did I have to admit I was worki-". I got cut off when Jack attached his lips onto mine. We kissed."Marissa, I'll be picking you up tonight". I was speechless for a moment "W-why?" I begin stuttering. "I've been wanting to tell you this for while" He says. "Jack, you're acting as if we didn't hate each other 2 weeks ago". "I never hated you" Jack mention giving me a tight hug.

3 months have past , Jack and I are happier than ever, we eventually started dating. Soon after our the day he slept over mine. I never really thought I'd be dating someone already, especially someone like Jack. Jack and I planned a date, later that day then I get a call.

"Hello"

"Hey Marissa, so I can't go. Next time yea ? I have to do something"

"Ah sure, I lov-"

I just got cut off on the phone by Jack, no goodbye ? no "I love you"? I felt something really suspicious and he was obviously hiding something from me. I hated it.
