20.

*Lukes Pov*

I woke up to the sound of the alarm clock ringing the familiar sound I heard every Monday, I groaned not wanting to get up but knowing I'd have to because the exams started today. I went to wake Alexa but I couldn't feel her warm body there, instead I felt an ice cold space beside me. I sat up and frantically looked around the room for her, as I scanned every aspect of the room carefully I finally saw her figure hunched over the desk. I took a sigh of relief and started to make my way out of the bed and over to her.

"Hey" I said touching her ice cold arm

"Luke I don't know anything" she said looking at me with puffy eyes, it was obvious she'd been crying

"What time did you get up?" I asked, all this stress couldn't be good for Alexa or the baby

"3.." She whispered

"Alexa! You can't be getting up at 3am to study and you can't be stressing! You do know all your stuff with the amount you've studied you really need to relax" I said trying to sooth her

"Okay fine" she groaned pushing the book aside

"Okay let's go get breakfast and get ready to go" I said taking her downstairs

I wasn't going to lie, I was extremely nervous. These exams really meant a lot and determined what we were going to do for the rest of our life's, I know I had the Janoskians but the thing that always crossed my mind was what if no one supports us anymore? What if it just doesn't work out? What if? What if? I really needed a back up plan and good results to get a decent job to provide for Alexa and the baby

"You guys should start getting ready to go" my mom said taking me away from thoughts

As we both left the kitchen to go up my mom pulled me back and said

"Look after Alexa today, I know it's hard for both of you but everyone will be staring at her and also good luck I know you can do great" I nodded and the followed Alexa upstairs and started to get dressed

We both remained silent, mostly down to nerves and then left the house saying only a few words. It was a nice day, sun shining, autumn leaves scattered over the pavement and a sharp cool wind that was refreshing. As we neared the school Alexa's grip got tighter and one single tear fell from each eye

"Don't cry it'll be okay" I said reassuring her

She nodded and sniffled stopping any other tears from falling

We finally reached the school both of us just a bundle of nerves walking, I looked around at everyone else who were quiet but staring, the odd whisper escaping their mouths. The reason why people were staring was because all the schools in the glenroy Melbourne area come to penola to sit the exams, these people were new and unaware of the situation. I looked to Alexa who seemed not to take any notice to anyone around her so I left her that way, it was better for her not to be conscious of everyone around her. I'd never seen the school so quiet before in my life, it was like a graveyard. No one talked, no one moved it was extremely silent. Soon they start letting people in to get the first exam over with, we walked towards the teachers gave our names and walked in separate ways, boys one way girls another

"Good luck, you'll be okay ash after the exam wait there and I'll meet you here okay? I love you" I said kissing her forehead

"Good luck I know you'll do great, stop shaking, I love you too" she laughed hugging me tightly

I looked In her eyes and then started to walk away, my hand losing her touch. Soon enough she was gone out of my sight and I was faced with a room full of people waiting to sit an exam. I sat beside jai and wished him a good luck as they handed out the first papers. I couldn't concentrate all I thought about was Alexa and what was happening in the other room, was she okay? Girls were vicious and I didn't want her to be hurt

"Sorry" I heard an older female voice say as she put my paper down in front of me

"Thanks" I mumbled as I turned over the paper and started to read all the questions
