30.

*Alexas Pov*

*2 weeks later*

I shut my eyes and started to drift into a light sleep until I heard crying, again. I got up without hesitation and went over to the crib where Kayla slept. I picked her up and cradled her in my arms gently, rubbing my finger softly against her cheek and chin. Her crying got louder and louder and I was afraid I'd wake someone, I looked to luke who was in a deep sleep. Luke was doing so well, he insisted in getting up every night but tonight I couldn't let, he wasn't himself he was just drained with tiredness. I looked to the door and quickly grabbed the bottle And my phone and made my way down the stairs to the sitting room so I wouldn't wake anyone.

"3 am" i yawned checking my phone giving Kayla her bottle

I sat there in silence thinking while Kayla sucked on her bottle gently. I never really saw myself in this position, 17 and already have a child and with luke of all people, I never expected it to happen this way but I was happy that's how it turned out. I didn't know what the future held for me and like and I was always just slightly worried that luke would leave me because I'm me, there's prettier more intelligent, beautiful girls out there and yet he still went for me? I fell for luke from the day I looked into those brown eyes but I never thought he'd fall for me, im so happy he did.

"Alexa?" I heard a voice come from behind

I jumped slightly nearly choking on my own breath

"Jesus beau you scared the shit out of me" I said trying to catch my breath

"Sorry sorry" he laughed quietly

"I heard someone go down so I just wanted to come down and keep them company" he said sitting down

"I figured it was you or luke" he said

"Oh right, did I wake you?" I asked

"No I just can't sleep" he sighed rubbing his head with his hands

"How come? Kayla's not keeping you up is she?" I asked

"No no, I just" he sighed

"You can tell me beau, you can trust me" I smiled giving him my hand to hold

"Its stupid and you'll probably laugh but I don't know I just feel that I'll never have what luke has, like he has you and Kayla and you guys will more than likely get married and have more kids and I don't know I suppose I don't feel I'll ever have that" he sighed

"Beau let me tell you something, yes I know we have Kayla but if I could make things different I probably would, of course I love Kayla with all my heart and I would never change her for the world but I'd probably prefer to get married first and then have kids. There was so much I wanted to do before I had kids and got married that I can't do now so don't worry that you don't have all this now, I know you beau you'll have kids and get married" I sighed but smiled

"What did you want to do?" He asked

"Well I wanted to travel the world, well I mean I really wanted to go to Disneyland in Paris I've never been so that was the top of my list but I wanted to go to collage in America but i won't be doing that, definitely not" I said

"I can't say you'll go to collage in America but I can bet that one day you'll go to Paris" he smiled

"thanks beau" I smiled

"Anytime and thanks for the talk made me feel a little better" he smiled

"Well goodnight beau" I laughed as he walked away

"Goodnight Alexa" he smiled

*Lukes pov*

I woke up and looked around the room, I soon realized Alexa brought Kayla downstairs and went down to let her come back up. I quietly crept down the stairs and into the lounge where I saw the dim light shining

"Heyy" I yawned and stretched as I walked over to her and Kayla

"Aw luke I wanted to give you a break please don't say I've woken you" she said

"No you haven't, I just woke up and wanted to come down to you" i said

"You can go back to bed, you're tired" I said pulling her into me

"No it's fine I'll stay here, I wanna be with you" she smiled

I kissed her forehead and she rested her head on my shoulder

"Luke can I ask you something?" She said sitting back up

"Of course" I said looking into her eyes

"Why me?" She asked

"Why you what?" I asked confused

"Why did you pick me? You couldve had anyone you wanted and you chose me?" She asked

"Alexa why are you asking this?" I laughed

"No I've been just thinking about it" she said

"I picked you because it's you, why wouldn't I pick you! You've got the most amazing blue eyes that glimmer and your smile is so beyond perfect it's unreal, your laugh is so adorable and you've got an amazing personality plus you've got one hot body" i laughed

She blushed crazily and laughed with me

"And you're the only person I've ever loved so you're really special to me" I said

"I love you, you always reassure me" she said

"I know I love you too, now come here" I said pulling her close into me again

We sat in silent for a while until I said anything again

"You know she looks so like you" I said

"Do you think? I think she looks like you, she definitely has your eyes" she said

"She's beautiful, just like you" I smiled
